That is my booking from last year – coincidently its the same time as you lot are looking to go! Its right opposite the Sangrada Familia cathedtal and 2 mins accross the square to the train station. Its £62.10 or E91.00 for the appartments per night which sleep up to 4 people (1 kingsize double bed, 1x Single room, 1x sofa bed i think). You pay 10% of the cost by credit card on the net and the rest by cash on arrival. I will pass you the website etc over the net when i see you – pics etc are on there. If anybody has a basic camp bed you will get a couple more in i think! The owner only visited us to show us in and collect the key at the end!

Ah yes, but look at the screenshot. There is no tariff for the outbound leg. No Tax, nothing. The only fare and tax is for the inbound leg.Besides, Jet2 don’t fly to Edinburgh
I know Jet2 don’t fly to EDI but that wasn’t the point….

So if i pay a fare with Jet2 of £1 as opposed to a ‘free’ flight by the time i have booked the ticket it will have cost me £21.70 as opposed to £37.00 with Flybe.
welcome to the forums! I should be up at LBA a few times in the coming weeks – whereabouts in Bradford are ya from?
If any of you go over to the IOM again plse let me know and i will try and meet you up there. Went last summer for camping and walking, and keep going back and forth with work.
Hope you are ok mongu, i think i know the road you mean if its the one which crosses the tram tracks that lead to the summet of Snaefell and on into Ramsey?
yea there is a listing on Pprune of the flights in and out – mainly the usual charter companies, eastern and Jet2! Also a couple of foreign aircraft (Spanair and Germania i think?)
Trust you will be making a visit?
great pics!!
… and another Bradfordian – we had real probs yesterday morning when the IOM shut on us – but they forgot to tell anybody! It was only after we rang our people over there who said it was snowing heavily that we rang ATC to see the state of play, – oh yea the runway is covered with a couple of inches but we aren’t offically snow closed yet was the response  Quick calls to Eastern, FlyBE and Keenair followed warning then not to launch anything there until somebody made their mind up on fraggle.
Anyway we managed to get both aircraft diverting back to LPL via Manchester air traffic. By the time i left it wasn’t going to open until 12 noon, BFS was also getting it bad yesterday morning, don’t know what happened later in the day tho.
great news – glad to get another LPL route that i might use at some point – yet more orange out of the window then!
awefully sad and sick. However much the killer is greiving it is no excuse for his actions.
I nearly fell for that! Flybe to BHD was 0.00 + £19.00 tax, whether one way or two – strange  – but the Jet2 flights were £1 + £6.50 tax or something – so the £1 jet2 flights would be cheaper! Anyway i managed to get there on sunday on the JEM900/901P for a jolly – 😀

If people are staying there for a few days, I’m up for that as well. Last time I was in Barcelona I managed to drink a bit too much and made a complete tw*t of myself that night!
been there done that – only i ended up miles away up the coast in Callella after missing the last train home and having to sleep in a bar!!! – if anybody requires accom please contact me as i have a couple good priced recomendations that i have used.
from what i can understand, everyone keeps harping on about the A319 being on the LBA-LHR route this summer, but as far as i knew and was informed this will not be the case as the LHR will be operated by one of the 3 based F100s?
Somebody care to clarify?

Well, if LBA wasn’t on a hilltop, had a longer runway built into the prevailing wind, maybe it would be busier. Roll on Finningley, or Doncaster International or whatever they call it!
Its more likely to be called a quiet out of season saturday :o. Summer seasons are usually quite tasty on a Sat – btw as well as being sat on top of a hill with a runway accross the prevailing wind i would like to add there the chevin at the end of rwy 14 you forgot to mention – doh!
forgot to add i looked at using the NCL EZY service to STN on the current £1.99 offer – but it’s 5 hours on a coach in a normal 2 hour car journey – i think we’ll give that a miss! Blackpool wins again – 3 times in one visit to this site i’ve sang BLKs praises now
G-OAVB only flies once a week to keep her in service and out of short term storage. I believe this is a training flight which is less than 1 hour in duration and basically just gives her a run out.

Great photos Kev, particularly like the livery on that Air China. I’d really like to get upto MAN, but the cheapest I can get there I think is around £50 on Virgin trains, or £120 on Eastern Airways!
RYR to BLK at approx £25 and you will find for around £15 return you can catch a train from BLK to MAN – its not the greatest offer but a viable alternative, and is certainly the way i’d choose!
