Hi mate – i finished at 0700 this morning, so if you got the RYR you must have been around the same time. Aircraft off the top of my head were….

    G-SUEW – MYT – A320 – STAND 6
    G-IGOP – EZY – B733 – N/S on S6
    G-IGOT – EZY – B733 – N/S on S4
    G-EZJR – EZY – B737 – N/S
    G-EZJX – EZY – B737 – N/S
    G-EZKA – EZY – B737 – N/S
    G-EZJV – EZY – B737 – N/S
    G-OSLH – EZY – B737 – N/S
    I-FXRF – ESX – P188 – S11/12
G-BIUV was the inbound JEM 362 out as the 244
    G-FIJV – AAG – Far Side (S37?)

Didn’t know about the Aer Fungus – never saw anything on CFMU about its arrival this morning?

Btw i think its the 27th that will have at least 1 TU-154 in for the LPL match against Sofia.

Air Atlanta have many contracts around the world. When i was at MAN on work exp they operarted TF-ATN and ATW out of MAN on the V075/076 which was the Orlando flight (these aircraft are now being transferred back onto the UK register – G-VSSS being the first).

Other aircraft based operating through MAN at the time included to 3 B762s operating for Excel (now plus 4 B752s i believe), and several other TF registered B747s out of MAN. At the time (oct 02) i think it was TF-ATC (all white B742) TF-ATD (had a tailscrape at MME of the back of an MOD charter from YYZ), TF-ATE (B741 which i got 4 sectors on), TF-ATF and TF-ABA (3 class config which went to do some Oz flights for Olympic i think).Just to give you an idea of the work they did out of Manchester they picked up a couple of subs for MYT when one of their DC-10s went tech at the end of the season, the 2x Friday TFS and the SAT AGP flights were for lo-co, and there were Brize-Teeside-Calgary MOD Charters, and the Olympic series being operated from what i can remember. Hope it helps you with a bit of an insight.

Great review, and as pointed out V-bird can’t control the weather! Shame your trip went so poorly! The only V-bird aircraft i have yet caught was PH-VAC into MAN which was a nice surprise at the time. For other members infomation RAF Laarbruch was an ex Harrier base which i think housed 3 and 4 squadrons before their relocation to RAF Cottismore a few years back. I am not certain what instrument aids are available here but from memory there is an ILS on Rwy 27, not sure what cat though!

Possably so Allan, but Jethros is currently listing it as the first Jet2 QC aircraft so it will probably operate the BFS-LPL-BFS-EMA-BFS flights overnight then the BFS-PRG and whatever else Jet2/Channex announce for the Belfast based aircraft. I don’t suspect they will fly the aircraft too intensly if it it this aircraft they fly during the week as they will have to have it back in place for the PO flights in good time so as to not incurr the financial penalties of late mail! Here is the info for the whole Channex B733 fleet from Jethros….

can’t get more thorough reports than those! Dublin is a great airport and i’ve been there a few times now – coincidently also on TF-ELV (3 weeks ago) as well as TF-ELD!

Glad you had a good day!

Th ex-Ansett machine at BOH is now one of the Channex machines. Most of these Channex B733s are now either with Jet2 (x6) or awaiting QC conversion to operate on the post office routes.

Nothing came into Leeds which does see the RYR flights end up sometimes if BLK fogs out. Just booked myself to fly out of BLK with RYR again at the end of March on the STN run for a whopping £26 – not bad for the friday evening flight out and Monday back in!
