well as far as i hear EDI is closed at the moment for Runway clearance
lol – cheers – nearly there… but not quite yet!
and EI-CNY on the return… next trip in 2 weeks with Jet2 to Amsterdam!
First leg out was on TF-ELV…
WOW! What a coup from Prestwick, and what a blow it could well be to EDI and GLA!
Doubters will be doubers… we’ll have to wait and see what happens after all the hype!
Cheers for the photos to show what i meant Ren, and cheers for the explanation WD!

Las Palmas in Gran Caneria is that?
My turn tommorow – FR153 and FR156 – Will be the Islandsflug -400 TF-ELD on the outbound with another -200 on the inbound! I hope that the weather holds for us to get out, but i have always liked the prospect of being diverted on the inbound 😀
p.s. EI-CJE was my travel from DUB-LPL in December – i really do like the -200s 😀 😀 😀
oops – forgot to add it!
nice stuff, just another thing i’ve noticed about your Embraers as opposed to the UK versions that i usually see it the differant swing door and its associated lack of airstairs. I thought that most of the British examples i had seen had stairs loacted in the door which folded down with them on the revers (sorry can’t find a photo to expalin better). Would this be associated with the Embraers use of airbridges in the states at the mojor airports?
Heres one of my Emb photos… again (not got many on my p.c.)
I think this one looks a little more promising than some we have seen. Ok Cambridge is a little unutilised shall we say… but Eastern are based at Humberside! It doesn’t nessecerily mean they will use the hub and spoke system, but then again we’ll have to wait and see what comes about. If they are based with smaller aircraft such as the Donrier 328 or alike from Cambridge, with cheap deals through Cambridge it may work with the University city, – if fares are cheap the students can use it etc etc…
Binter Mediterraneos are still part of Iberia i believe with Canerias remaining preivatly ovned. Notice on the above photo the differance in the aircraft tails. The first one i believe is the old tail scheme, and the one behind the newer one which was launched in 2002.
It certainly does have a great livery to look at when that sun is shining
No surprise really, it was like playing spot te passenger on most days. I believe that it was mostly due to the infrequency of the service – 1 flight each way daily – pehaps 2x daily at a better timing mightt be more successful. It was like playing spot the passenger most days!
