No tech issue downroute, just a weather diversion to Genoa that lead to a nightstop.

I would have been more than happy to get soaked to the skin as long as I had an encounter with that beast.

    Excellent as usual Mr Casey!

    Paul

Paul, you don’t need to be near an airport to get soaked to the skin do you really??? 😀

    Excellent work Lance…

Yea I went to DUS in May, nice city, plenty of drinking establishments, very short train ride upto Cologne to see the fantastic Cathedral, and great viewing facilities from the rooftop terrace at the airport!

Or perhaps a 2nd / 3rd / 4th and 5th Chance with FR if you want to make a day out of it – might be able to get a £60 deal on the offer running at present – EDI/PIK-DUB-LBA-DUB-EDI/PIK?

G-LSAE is LBA based at present until ‘AD’ goes to SEN which is when ‘AE’ will pop over to MAN. Once ‘AD’ is up and about one (not sure which) will end up in TFS for the winter.

    Evening FlyMonarch,

‘AE’ should have been doing the ALC on the 14th, having ended up at LBA post 100E on the 13th – well that was the plan at 0600 when I left shift!

We have progressed this thread owards and upwards into a CFMU related thread for the workers at the sharp end of route planning….

    I thank you 😀

    A225HVY

Well I suppose we have to put some conversation in here of use otherwise most of the threads on the front page will de-generate into the “What airplane am I going in?”, or “Is G-MONC rickerty because it’s old?” or “Which way do I go?” threads…

So back to the CFMU bits it is…

I did mine roughly off top of head 😀 yep would fly your route after checking on charts 😉

    A225HVY

    Charts??? :diablo:

I prefer “RMK/ALL IFPS REROUTES ACCEPTED” Those helpful little beavers in Brussles or Paris are usually quite accomondaing when the computer says no! 😡

I hope you don’t get the perspective of me being a little lazy when it gets busy! 😀

As a serious answer… straight out over the sea (passing over Liverpool whichever way you go), over the Isle of Man, then you’ll hit Northern Ireland. Blackpool would be up to the Right hand side of the aircraft, but you’ll probably not see it.

    Canary Islands???

Damn, that is going to have a huge impact on the major charter carriers, such as First Choice, Monarch, Excel…etc, as this is their biggest market isnt it?

Firstly I think anyone would have to be crazy to want to do a 4hr flight, with no food and no IFE?

    Hi Cloud9,

The above posting seems to have a bit of a contridiction in there. As you suggested it may have a big impact on the Charter carriers and people must be crazy to go 4 hours without IFE and meals, well people are already doing this with the charters!

I can’t see why people be suffering any more on a Ryanair B738 for 4 hours without IFE and food that has to be purchased any more than on an Excel Airways flight for 4 hours+ (actually I don’t think even the B762s have IFE), or an Astraeus flight for 6 hours in A B737? The food theory is you can either take your own on, or pre-purchase in advance with the charters, with the LCC the only differance is you pay on board and not in advance?

As you know Jet2 fly 235 punters for 4 hours back up to LBA on 752s with this theory, and you tend to notice most people with IPODs, Portable DVD players or Books and Magazines (well those that aren’t asleep!).
