This is nuts. No one brought up India and still the extreme envy of anything Chinese brings the Indians here to use insults like “drones.”

Why does a simple thread on “Chinese exports” results in slurs and attempts to call Chinese people as something less than human?

If there are any “drones,” it’s the silly nationalists who crash this thread out of envy and nationalism.

As far as “price and quality,” the first sentence of this thread (and the previous) stated categorically that the world’s aircraft market is dominated by the West and Russia. No one is even attempting to claim that Chinese aircraft is of the same quality as American. And they are certainly far cheaper and affordable than US aircraft.

Americans know this intrinsically. So do French and Swedes too. That’s why they don’t need to trash every Chinese thread to prove anything.

But jealousy with Indians (whose aircraft “industry” doesn’t even have the ability to export anything) is so great that they feel the need to argue a point that no one is even making.

As far as customer satisfaction: let’s see, the export of hundreds of planes and keeping repeat customers from Africa to the Middle East to Asia are pretty good testament. If not, India’s neighbors would have bought something from the neighborhood

Well GD, did that do anything to help convince you the IDF can carry two TC-2’s under the centerline at once?

Good pictures. I was never convinced that it couldn’t. I just said that if I recalled correctly, it could only carry one semi-recessed TC-II. Obviously, I recalled incorrectly.

Thanks for the info. I’ve still got a few questions about this project though….

How many TC-2 or TC-2A’s can be carried by the Ching-Kuo. I’m aware that two can be fitted under the fuselage, but which wing hardpoints can carry these weapons? Outboard pylons only? Inboard pylons only? Wingtip rails?

What about the TC-1? How many of those?

Any photos of those new weapons?

If I recall correctly only one TC-II could carried semi-recessed on its belly. It can be carried by both the inboard and outboard pylons but not the wingtips. The inboard normally carry droptanks so three TC-IIs and two IR TC-Is for A-2-A.

The TC-II looks very much like the AMRAAM.

The sprares have been factored into the cost of the contract. Eg. the $3.3 B contract for deep lic. mfg of the 140MKI includes making 920 ‘spare’ engines (unless you somehow believe that they make airframes only and twiddle their thumbs till HAL Koraput finally assembles/makes its first QC checked -FP) If that were the case how do you explain SB101 and SB102 (HAL built MKI when HAL Koraput is far from making its first -FP engine).

Unless off course you have some non Kanwa/non-photochopped evidence that can counter what AWST says.

As always, it talk about the future

There are hundreds of Flankers in China. China sold and is selling hundreds of aircraft to others and supports those nations with hundreds of spare engines. The scope of maintenance and support by the Chinese air force and aviation industry is nothing that anyone in India could imagine.

There are no more than 50 Flankers in India — and that number was reached only very recently — and you’re barging into a WS10A thread full of bravado about how a small force runs its handful of Flankers

Please. It’s the minors, no one cares.

Again, this is about the WS-10A not some Russian engines that India is supposedly contracting from the USSR in the future.

But here are some pictures of aircraft from the most dominant aviation industry in the third world, anyways 😀

Just so we’re not missing from this third world party 🙂

If Australia is a third world country, then China is fifth world country? sixth?

China officially calls itself a third world state. But the US and Europe forced China to enter the World Trade Organization as a first world nation subjected to harsher trade conditions and requirements than even Europe and the US. China is forced to open up its banking market that no other developing country is forced to do.

Third world countries are supposed to get into the WTO with the same restrictive tariffs that other third world states like India and Brazil can level on foreign companies but China can’t.

It would be nice if China was really third world and Europe and the US can’t foist dumping charges and currency manipulation on China

The Q-5 (exported designation is A-5) is another Chinese ac in the BAF’s OoB.

By the way George, where is your similar contract for India’s Su-30 engines, huh? And how come Salyut’s order book never rose by one billion before because of your voluminous engine sparing factor for your Su-30s as you claim huh?

There were no similar contract orders. Simply because 19 Su-30Ks didn’t require many engines.

There is a world of difference between the major leagues and bush leagues. In China they operate hundreds of Flankers. In the minors, they operate 19. When 20+ MKIs joined a year ago, it more than doubled their strength.

There is no comparison in the fleets and the scale of operation.

It would be better if the thread is about the WS10A and not about the Flanker engines in India

How would getting Chinese threads locked stop the WS10A development or Chinese exports? It’s not. There were 130 Chinese aircraft exported by AVIC I between 2004 and 2005 and the WS10A is certified and will be used for the J-11B.

Bangladesh has ordered new PAF-inspired F-7PGs, though the official designation for the Bangladeshi aircraft might be different(F-7-MB?)

One of the Bangladeshi squadrons that flies the original F-7IIs (“BD” variant) is the Thundercats.

Nice markings if I do say so myself!

    Nice picture, Star49!

We finally get to see the new leading edge root extension that we saw in the model.

    Exciting times! 🙂

Ah ah ah, nice try, but a war that still hasn’t ended can’t count as a victory. The Korean War has been on hiatus due to a cease-fire, not an official ending of hostilities 😀

Who was counting “victories”? As I said, the US military defeated the North Korean military and then lost the territory of North Korea to the Chinese army. What I said was semantically correct 🙂

More FC-1 from our very own crobato

That is an amazing picture. It looks like one of the unpainted prototypes (yellow) is going through maneuvers in what seem like a turn or roll with a full load! — three drop tanks, two MRAAMs and two dogfight missiles on the wingtips.

Unless he is looking at the static test-only 02 prototype, then that should be 04 since both 01 and 03 are painted.
