I truly doubt those guests are bots and crawlers as one person tried to explain it. Why would a thousand bots and web crawler ignore the other threads?

The Post is a respectable paper but there is a lot incorrect information in there that I wonder if he actually did any research and had instead just took quotes from Russians based in Beijing verbatim.

FC-1 is part of the Super 7 which is a US-related program not Russian. The China nuclear sub program didn’t appear in the last two years, the latest Jin class is a follow on to the Han class from the 1960s.

That said, I don’t disagree with the premise that the US overstate Chinese military strength or intention.

Pomfret is a respected China correspondent especially on the social and economic end of things. This might be the first military report I’ve seen him do.

China is not the only place which can make cheap PC components. Taiwan makes better quality stuff anyday. And many companies have their manufacturing centres in Indonasia, Singapore, Malaysia etc.

Totally proven false by the Recession. Chinese exports to the US and other Western nations plummeted by up to 30%. China should have been pulled into a economic contraction if China is as dependent on exports as some people like to believe. Japan and Korea which do depend on exports to the West really went into recession during the same period.

Instead China continued to grow and in fact grow so fast that it helped pull Japan and South Korea out of the recession. China acted like an economic driver (like the US) during the recession and not as another export dependent nation.

Your point was that China was not the second largest market and you said it because of your racial prejudices not because of the facts. I had to press your face into the facts in the form of a Boeing VP who said that China is the world’s second largest market. Period.

China will get investment and offsets simply because money is the whole point of commercial aviation or any other business and money talks.

This idea that China will not get aviation work because of some racial prejudice expressed in this thread is simply false.

An entire assembly line for the A320 is currently delivering Airbus planes from Tianjin. That’s like pretending an elephant standing in front of you is not there because your thought process (influenced by dislike of the Chinese) refuses to believe it.
