Proportionally speaking, the F-35A is cheaper than Falcon-21++ when looking the ratio of Flyaway costs (Falcon-21++/ATF vs F-35/F-22).
What do you mean… you re not aware that the program is having soon 10 years of delay and two times initial budget despict major issues were postponed to further block ?

It is a know cognitive biaised, pilot roles is not to know if the operational cost will be to high, or when an issue will be solved or does the 6 months delays for operational testing is an issue.
You are displaying what in legal parlance would be termed as “assuming facts not in evidence” by trying to present your theories as actual fact.
Your theory is that pilots are talking about what they “will do” or what the f-35 “will/could do”.
In actuality, a vast majority of the pilots in the program are talking about what they “are doing” with the jet “now”, not what they will do at some time I the future.
Operational cost estimates have been steadily coming down since the FY2012 Baseline event and show no signs of going higher.
Um, new airframe, new wing, new engine, new avionics, now radar (AESA), internal weapons, etc, etc…
That is no longer an F-16.

That is a patently false generalization.
Please show where active US/Partner pilots talking a lot about the F-35 that do not have F-35 experience.
You may find a few here and there but the vast majority of pilots talking about the F-35 have direct experience with it and that they frame that conversation in the present capabilities.
General Dynamics called it the Falcon 21 ++, think of the “big wing” F-16U (AKA Falcon 21), then stuck an F119 in it, a new fuselage with internal carriage of AIM-120ยดs, some stealth signature management (think of a clean Super Hornet) plus (something like) the avionics of the Desert Falcon. Later LM picked that work changed it a bit and called it the “F-16X”.
This is on of the few “Falcon 21” pics I could find form the early 90’s. AAMs are conformal, not internal. Energo over at F-16.net also dug up a PDF (linked below)

Why do you think the USN would pick something different? The only thing that I can think of that they would want to change would be 2xF414 instead of an F135.
@KGB, how would you choose which 2 roles and how would you justify the extra $30-40 Billion in dev combined with the higher cost to produce?
“If” Boeing had been able to get the single-wing to work, thinks may have been different, but they had to completely redesign the plane just to make the final bid.
To answer your quest directly:
USAF goes F-35A as does ROW.
USMC goes F-35B since Boeing’s direct lift proved problematic.
USN would be a tossup.
The bigger question would be… Who’s going to sign-off on the extra $30-40 billion in development costs to have more than one type?

That explains why you can see pilots report that are or completely in favor to the F35 or the opposite.
The one that complain are talking about current capabilities. The one who support are talking about what they think/hope they will do once everything will be ok. Some are optimistic, that is to say despite the current failure they still think everything will be solve. Some are realistic, and just communicate about how the plane is today, and not how it will be if…
Go back and ready recent pilot interviews.
They SPECIFICALLY talk about the F-35 how it is now (ie pre Block 3F and pre opening up of the CLAWS and G restrictions).
Go re-read the 31 pilot interview. Even with the current Block 2B/3i, CLAWS, and /G limits the still prefer the F-35 over anything they have ever flown.

And the reason it oscillates is insufficient control of the dampener. No need to change any of the structure, etc.
It’s an issue with what amounts to shock absorber oscillations on launch and not “vibrations”

Basically, they need to better control the oscillations of the nosewheel.
Since I don’t know if it’s controlled mechanically or programmatically, I couldn’t say what direction they would go for a fix.
Why are you still “comparing” Gripen to F-35?
