If you can track a missile you can track a fighter.
Um.. no you can’t.
If they could, they would claim it as a feature.
Bean counters counting beans..
DDM-NG is DIRCM compatible. Ie it can track something.
Nic
Yes, the missile. Nobody has said it’s can’t do it’s job ie a MAWs), just that it cannot track fighters, etc that the F-35’s EODAS can.
This is what the DDM-NG site says to that
High angular accuracy compliant with DIRCM needs
So it can track a missile with enough angular accuracy to pass that info to a DIRCM seeker/emitter head.
DDM-NG do also, sorry.
No it does not.. from MBDA website:
http://www.mbda-systems.com/press-releases/even-greater-protection-for-the-rafale-thanks-to-ddm-ng/
It will succeed the current DDM system on the Rafale as a βform, fit and functionβ replacement.
In other words, do the same thing, just better than the current DDM.
Here is the product website. Note the complete lack of any feature outside of the existing missile warning being described.

wrong.
how?
No, just a Spudman pavlovian reaction. Go along, nothing to see here.
Nope, I was just clarifying the cause since most other places (ie twitter, Facebook, the source site, etc) are bitching about “OMG the F-35 can’t fly in bad weather, dark, etc”. I was just trying to nip it in the bud before it started here.
My bad for not being more specific.
Arival of F-35 in Israel delyaed due to fog in italy…
βThe Italians are not letting the flight take off and in accordance with American regulations the flight will not take off,β an air force official told a scrum of gathered press who had trekked down to the base.
It was a civilian restriction that had nothing to do with the technical capabilities of the F-35.

This one works too:
Actually, the original complainer lost and the DoD went with he one they wanted all along in the end.
It is the ONLY MAW that can track enemy aircraft at ANY range with IRST capabilities.
FIFY
ok, i’ll bite.
If we buy the theory that L.M define supercruise as Mach 1.5,
then it follows that the B-58 hussler cruises at Mach 1.5 on dry thrust, according to L.M.
Now ask yourself: is that reasonable, or just plain rude ?
They defined the term, with respect to the subject at hand, in the previous sentence.
Speed in these studies took the form of supercruise-supersonic flight without using an afterburner (a source of undesirable and unstealthy infrared energy). Optimizing an aircraft for supercruise leads to long, slender configurations with small highly swept wings and large high-temperature engines.
The ATF would not be the first military aircraft capable of supercruising. This title belongs to the B-58 Hustler. The B-58, however, had to employ its afterburners or dive steeply to accelerate through the transonic drag to get to the flight condition where it could supercruise. The F-16XL and newer-model F-16s are capable of supersonic flight without afterburner as well.
Note tha lack of a specific mach 1.5 speed, jsut “supercruise-supersonic flight without using an afterburner”
no, the technician + 8 conscripts and the engine swap and turnaround time is from official SAAB source,
and swedish AF, only thing taken from signatory is the avionics pic
My bad.. I was referring to the graphic.
Well, Code One’s social media channels have been closed in July 2016.
And that has to do with the subject at hand how exactly?
where did you get this information, the SAAB aircraft Corporation website?
Nope, it’s Blog/internetNews info (Signatory/GripenNews)
Yep, have never seen any evidence that the F-35 outperforms its rivals here.. Have you?
Nothing except quotes from those pesky pilots who flew the F-35 and the ones against… but who can believe that the F-35 actually met spec :stupid:
Point taken.. In return, please, restrain from using anything written in Code One.. it is not only biased, but sometimes an outright lie and never provides any sources. Thank you
You are more than welcome to quote Code One and then show how they lied or intentionally deceived the reader just like I did with DA.
