That would be G-POWD. Same aircraft has also been used by BA between LHR and JFK In the last few weeks.
Sounds like one of Titans 737-300’s most likely G-POWC. Operating flights for BA. It’s been at NCL twice in the last week.
Red Nose Aircraft is indeed for Comic Relief.
Perhaps she’s going to be converted to a fire fighting aircraft? It was recently passed in Canada that all fire fighting aircraft with more than two engines must be turbo probs. That’s why Buffalo bought the EX Reeve Allutian *sp* aircraft two years ago. Though there Dc-4 tankers were flying last year on fire suppression flights.
I’d imagine Canada is the place to Go for Electra parts now, as far as I know of all the flying electras in the world bar the one remaining Atlantic aircraft are in Canada. Four for buffalo and an unknown to me number flying for a company called air spray I think used soley as fire supression aircraft.
May I also add that the owner if Buffalo airways Joe Mcbryan was at Coventry this week to over see the sale of the aircraft, no doubt he’ll have purchased a large amount if spares as well.
don’t think it is, they didn’t have a film crew on board
Look at this link, go to episodes, then season 4, then Episode 6 “Crash Landing”.

The whole episode is devoted to the incident. Lots of in aircraft footage.
anyone know if the Buffalo bellyflop landing features in the current Ice pilots series
It does indeed, a whole episode is dedicated to it! Fantastic coverage.
The aircraft has now been repaired and is back in service.
Rare indeed, but no stranger to NCL, that 767-200 used to belong to Flyjet and then Silverjet! Ex, G-FJET/G-SJET!
It was in on a charter to take the Chelsea Football Team to Japan! Departed last night bound for Tokyo Narita!
Great shots!!
Mrtotty, sounds like you flew on two of the older aircraft! I was on board both of the aircraft shown in the above images they were both quite nice! Especially A6-ECP with it’s first class suites!
Not sure I get this – the Flight booking system is showing a seat plan now which indicates which extra legroom seats are available and invites a selection. How could this ‘work’ if there are different configurations and it is not yet known which configuration is flying the route on the day in question ??
Im saying this because i have checked in flights for Jet2.com and frequently had passengers who have prebooked there exit row seats months in advance only to have them changed in the days before their flight due to the aircraft been a different configuration.
I’m just trying to be clear on the extra legroom seats available on the B757 MAN to HER next summer (flights LS911 and LS912).
The Jet2 booking system show extra legroom emergency exit seats as 12D,E; 33B,C and 33D,E These numbers don’t tie-up exactly with seatplan.com but may be because of missing row 3 and 13 on Jet2. Do the Jet2 booking system seat numbers seem correct ? Does anyone know ? Also, do these seats have a bulkhead or partial bulkhead immediately in front of them ?
Finally, the front section seems to be nearly all extra legroom seats : 1D,E,F through to 8A,B,C. The booking system shows 8D,E,F as standard seats and all row 9 as ‘reserved for wheelchairs’. How does this work ? I’ve never seen this on a seating plan. How do you get 8D,E,F standard in an extra legroom section of the aircraft.
Any help greatfully received.
Thanks
Jet2.com’s 757’s have various different exit configs! Nothing to do with Jet2 its just how they were built! May i suggest you wait until nearer your flight departure date to book your seats! By then there should be a rough idea of which 757 is doing your flight!
Its showing on Channel4 right now for those interested! Fantastic footage of the Buffalo Airways DC-4 Flying at low level!
787 to visit MAN and LHR!!
Apparently a 787 is due into MAN on the 3rd September at 11.35am, Stopping for the day then visiting LHR the next day!
CFIT. 🙁 A very old plane at 36 years.

Not that old Compared to some of Buffalo Airway’s DC-3’s that operate out of YellowKnife, One of theres turns 70 years old next year and its still in regular commercial use!
R.I.P
There alright! Bit loud at the back but thats standard with a rear engined aircraft.
Snack and a drink is what you’ll get on board! Try to leave you carryons by for Delivery at the aircraft stairs when you get to AMS Ie trolley bags over head luggage space runs out quick on the fokkers!
If its a TOM aircraft it will be loverly, if its one of the old FCA aircraft if im honest its a let down! One little tip! Upgrade at the airport instead of prepaying its often much cheaper! There are often BOGOF offers on check in!
I see you snapped JEDP (Dodgy Paint Job), pass me the bucket please 😀
Haha it was operating out of NCL two weeks ago i was talking to a Flybe pilot who calles it Delta Pollution! I believe it use’s slightly more fuel than the Average Dash owing to its paint job Kind of ironic!!
