To be fair i think the isrealis know what they are doing they have dealt with situations much bigger than this with higher odds and won.

Why, what’s happening in Beirut?

All started when hesbolla (sp) kidnapped to israeli solders and killed 7. Isreal responded with air raids on the main airport knocking out the runways. and then its navy bombarded the oil tanks at the airport.

Nothing much now commercialy wise mate all the runways are out of action at the airport a few airbase’s have been attacked, all the ports are blocked off by the navy. Me thinks it will get worse before it gets better. Theres a discussion thread over in military aviation about it.

thats the point i was getting at… what would happen if Iran attacked Isreal, America would be there like a shot, in one way or another.. i am not agreeing with the terrorists, in my opinion all terroists should be wiped out.. but i dont think this gives Israel or eny other country the right to bomb the **** out of a nation just because there is a few terrorists living there..

Valid point mate but you have to think israel will have no doubt been keeping an eye on lebenon and will have targets in mind.

I’m sorry that the Palestinian and Lebanese people have to deal with this, and it just goes to show that they need to drop any and all support for terrorist groups…because the Israeli’s don’t mess around.

If I were Syria I’d back off as well or they might suffer some air strikes of their own. We all know the Syrians have no way of stopping the IDF/AF, and thus Israeli air superiority is already there….they can hit whatever target whenever they please.

I hope for their sake that the Syrians realize this….

i agree with you there mate its if iran get involved thats what im worried about i cant see the americans stopping them if they attack iran.

Thing is though the terrorists kill civillains all the time a nation has to be care full as it can look like there lowering them selves to there level but then again and eye for an eye.

Just seen the ITV news showing attacks on the airport and oil tanks.

Lots of fire power on show in the south Apaches fireing, heavy arty. Leaflet drops over beruit telling people to stay away from hesbolla offices. i think this is just the start of a much heavyer action.

Tell you one thing the israeils sure know how to make them selves heard. High profile action, Mind you if them solders head for iran, thats gonna be a s**t storm.

I dont think the UN will be able to stop them its self defence in a way.
