I remember the days when Nordic European based an L1011 @ NCL during the summer, in fact, it was quite common to see 2 of their Tristars on the ground at NCL at the same time 😉
Those were the days 😉
Tristars at ncl!!! Damn that would be an awsome sight.
Any info on the times yet lukeylad? I need to try and plan my day around it.
sorry mate i cant get in touch with the person i need to talk too what about air north mate they may know?
Doesn’t Varig a few MD11s operating?
like this beauty
i know some one who has flown on this tristar out to the congo and its in very good condition its suppose to be very nice inside.
No need really, anyhow as for Tristars operating in the UK… Apart from the Royal Air Force I can’t think of any current regular commercial operators ? The last one I saw personally was a Portuguese example (Euro Atlantic) at Glasgow several years ago.
Not sure what Air Transat do with theirs now, I think they still have a couple ?
I see mate after a bit of research on Airliners.net the only ones operating in the UK have really just been running a charter for other airlines. No Airlines run a regular service with them. The DC-10 on the other hand theres now a DC-10 running into MAN once a week and a few other places.
Drole or ‘droll’ means… adjective
amusing, especially in an unusual way:
a droll remark/expression/personEssentially a sarcastic form of humour, which is the opinion I took of your starting a “discussion thread” given comments made on the now deleted photography discussion.
Now back to talking planes purleeease !! 😀 :diablo:
cheers mate thats why the thread title was edited then.
Do man commercial tristars operate in the UK?
Very drole.
What does drole mean?
Just saw that, sorry.
no problem mate.
