The MYT shot is fantastic well done!!

Would have though the Comco 757 would have got to Middenhall for its “Wink wink” Runs.

    British Airways in the 70s/80s.

VC-10s, 707s, Classic 747s, the gourgous Tristar! and later the DC-10. Proper planes unlike them Plastique and damn right annoying Airbus’s!

I know that pier well and the boat that is coverted into a pub which is very well situated right opposite the gangway 😉 hic!

Is she still there!! Bit of tactful placement there by the Navy dont you think! :diablo: I aint been down to see a carrier in years. Last ship i saw on the Tyne was the Geordie Gun boat H.M.S Newcastle which is now rusting away in Portsmouth Harbour !

You flying Navy though NCL or taking the more risky option.

Cheers for that dude The Lusty is alongside at North Sheilds just next to the DFS ferry terminal the only berth on the East coast that can handle her. The Harrier must have left NCL this morning as has the Mystery SAAB.

Tristar enough said!! Awesome to see the Ole Girl shame she is now in storage. Euroatlantic have replaced her with a frankly terrible 767!! Bring back the Tristar!!

Absolutley right, Lusty is in the North Sea conducting an exercise with Joint Force Harrier aircraft and Merlins from 820 NAS.

    Si

I belive that Harrier that is still at NCL is a Fleet Air Arm example.

Infact the Lusty is visiting the tyne today back to her birth place.

Let me guess Si your off to visit her soon ya lucky thing!

Edit: The Saab is now parked over next to the Jet2 757s aswell as a loverly Private Jet. It was odd to see the Saab Coned off.

Test for next summer? To see if the aircraft are alright on their runway?

NCL can handle the 767 fine as proved by Euroatlantic over the summer covering for Flyjet.

The only issue that effects the 767 out of NCL next summer for Thomson fly is the fact that they cant take off with a full load of fuel which thus means a quick stop at MAN.

When it comes to charters best to wait till the start of the summer season.

Ive been told that Thomson are basing a 767 at NCL for the summer then i hear there going to postion them in for the long haul runs. Best to wait new routes getting announced all the time. It isn’t the thing that airlines just decide over night they have to do there homework and see if a certain aircraft is right for the passenger loads at a base.

Great Shots mate. The NCL Fed Ex connection only got announced yesterday dont think it starts for a while yet, Im guessing useing a Feeder aircraft. Dont think we could fit an MD-11 on our cargo ramp.

    The Fed Ex Annoucment.

I see RAF Newcastle is back in Bueiness!

Wonder how long we can expect the Harrier with us. How long was it for the Tonkas in the summer ?? Something like a week each lol.

As for the Merlin, I think H.M.S Illustrious is at sea of the coast. A couple of Merlins were in on Friday picking up crewmen. One of which seemed to hover for an age over the runway.

Yeah, flew out on Monday just gone, easyJet (6408?) early morning around 6ish, had 400d around neck lol.

    Regards,

Nope i work for the other ground handling agent.

This little fella was hardcore spotter air band scanner at the ready infact i had to tell him to turn it off. Note book at the ready, happily snapping away down at the gate and when seeing his aircraft he harped with glee “oooooooo its a 757 this will be the 11th ive flown on” cue a flurry of scibling in his note pad.

AE is LBA based Dan mate. At NCL we have AA and AC. Well not for long were looseing one to EDI soon.
