Tommy Easyjet have been flying to Stanstead since they opened a Base at NCL! The route still pretty viable from what i hear! Popular with people commuteing for work and the good ole stag and Hen Party Market!
GraemeNCL: Nothing confirmed yet but rumours are floating round that Ryanair could step in!
Great shots of the 757!!! About time Easyjet started useing a proper aircraft like the 757!
The Balloon had a nasty habit of drifting off to the right hand side! Certainly gave the mooring lines a work out when i was leaving!
Indeed it was! Missed the BA, as i was working but got off shift just in time to drive round from the terminal to the viewing area to see the EK Take off!
Founds this on another Website detailing the Schdule For Monday!
You are invited to celebrate Newcastle International Airportโs
75th Anniversary on Monday 26th July 2010
Newcastle Airport and business partners have created a very special itinerary for the anniversary day. The public can watch all of the activity from a dedicated viewing area which will be open from 10am at Samson Aviation. We recommend viewing from 10.30am – 1.30pm to ensure the main highlights of the day are not missed! These include:
10.30am British Airways Hot Air Balloon tethered on the grass area adjacent the freight village
10.35am Arrival of a KLM B737 donning the original colour scheme from the 1960โs
11.10am Arrival of British Airways 747
12.00pm Arrival of a De Havilland Dragon Rapide to commemorate the exact time the airfield opened in 1935
12.05pm Arrival of an Emirates B777
12.15pm BA 747 departs
1.05pm KLM B737 departs
1.35pm Emirates B777 departs
2.00pm Pleasure flights on the Dragon Rapide commence with invited guests
Public car parking is provided from 8.00am and the airfield will return to normal operations from 4.00pm.
If any one is interested I belive that the EK 777 will be A6-EBD the Same Aircraft that Diverted in Back in May from GLA
Are you sure you heard correctly…. ๐
Proberly not! It was at 5am in the morning on a very Noisy Ramp when i got told! haha
Flights going to be Enconmy only from what i hear! I suggest you Photographers that are flying on the Return flight down to LHR have your camera ready when your boarding the aircraft! If things come together as there planned too there could be some very interesting photo opertunites available!
Looks a Tad big to me!
In the airport i work in for BA if it fits in the Gauge it can go as hand Bagguge and you have to be able to lift it unassited into the over head locker! Cant speak for other BA stations though!
Apologises for asking this, I hope no-one takes offense to this as it is not intended to do so, but when I met an inbound flight the other day, a woman got off the aircraft and proceeded to kneel down and kissed the floor of the jetbridge…is this a standard or religious practice for some people, as I have never seen it being done before, and some of the other passengers behind her seemed a bit miffed too, but this was possibly because she caused a minor blockage in what is already a very small space, and it was a delayed flight so people were very egar to get off!?
Some one did that when i met an Jet2 flight in a few weeks ago! She was English caused a bit of a scene on on the steps but she didn’t seem bothered! She told me later that it had been the flight from hell after the crew refused to serve a group of Lads Alcohol!
what time and flight number…..
BA1326 in Bound Landing at 11.10 then the BA1327 outbound leaving at 12.30
EK035 operated by a 777-300ER is due down at 12.05, however it has a habit of coming in 10 minutes early quite often so if were lucky they could both be on the ground at the same time!
I thought they had? Cause it was also mentioned on the grape-vine that just before or just after the show the 787 would visit AMS on a sales tour to KLM.
Well the last i heard was that all the 787’s were grounded at the moment some sort of problem with the tail assembly!
Educated guess, NCL’s birthday is one day after Farnborough so if there is a fly-by I suppose it is most likely to be the Airbus demonstrator.
Yeh thats what i was thinking! Although the 787 would be more appropretie as in a few years 787s could well be operating from NCL for TOM. Thats of course if Boeing send the 787 to Farnbourgh dont think they have confirmed its attendance yet!
Perhaps EK would upgrade to A380 when they hear BA bring a 747? Just to annoy the “home team”? ๐
What does EK normally use to Newcastle? An A330, or a 772?
I wish! But unfortunetly NCL cant handle an A380 our Taxi ways are too narrow.
But there are rumours flying round that were getting an A380 Flypast! From which carrier i have no idea!
At the moment EK Servce NCL Daily with the A330-200.
Indeed its going to be fantastic! Emirates are also sending at 777-300ER to Operate the EK036 NCL-DXB service on the same day! Should be on the ground at the same time as the BA 747! Im working that day looking forward to it!
One maybe two of there old Planes are sitting in the Desert at Victorville in the states1
