I check in Jet2.com flights on a regular basis from NCL, Your seats will be preassigned before check in opens and they cant be used until you arrive to check in. You will have two seats together over the window A and B seats with your Infant sitting on the lap of the person in the window seat. Cant comment on weather the aircraft will be a 757 im affraid.

May i suggest you ring up the Jet2.com call Center a few days before to comfirm or call the MAN Jet2.com Ticket desk.

    Chris,

I regularly check in Jet2.coms flights from NCL, On Sunday i was checking in the ACE flight we had G-LSAE based with us at the time, row 14 on that aircraft was 3X3 seating row 12 is 2×2. Unfortunetly AE went Tech on us that day so G-LSAB came up from Leeds which i think had the same config unfortunetly by this time i was checking in the EK and didn’t get a look at the seating plan. Off the top of my head i think most of the 757s have the same cabin config now as jet2 is at the moment refiting the cabins across the 757 fleet. I think the Batch of 757’s they got from China could be different but im not 100% sure.

Great shots of G-LSAB! By far my fave Jet2 757. Watched her Land from the Terminal at NCL. She was Heading up to NCL to operate a flight to ACE after the NCL Based 757 G-LSAE was found to have some cracks in its cockpit windows.

AB Postioned back down to LBA at lunch time today, when i left work it looked like they were working on AE as there were two sets of stairs either side of the cockpit.

As far as im aware Jet2 will be useing there first 767 if they get it in service for May as sceduled on there exisiting routes operating around the UK network of airports on a W pattern! I agree with you Josh it will proberly be used on the Bucket and Spade Runs to TFS etc TOM,TCX and MON have in the past put there wide bodies on those flights in the summer season! 2011 will be when Jet2 push the boat out with the 767. I cant see them jumping into anything major very quickly though Mr Meason will want assurances that there is the Demand for the routes before he commits to them!

Agreed on the questions One thread simply labled ” A few questions” Would Surfice!

Once again Tommy is there the Demand for it from LBA? Why SHOULD there be said routes? When there is Manchester airport a short distance away offering a massive range of services accross the Altantic and in the summer to the Greek Islands? Would an Airline such as Jet2.com be able to compete with the US Carriers to the States?

Well flew on G-JMCF and that seems near end of it’s lifespan.

Whats an aircraft been near the end of its “Lifespan” got to do what what seems to be a fuel valve problem!

And how do you know its at the end of its Lifetime? Are you an Engineer?

Got any Figures to back your ideas up Tommy! Do you know if a fully loaded 767 could get off LBAs runway to said Destinations? NCL for Example has a longer runway than LBA and let me tell you know that a fully loaded 767 to Domincan Republic struggles to get off our runway fully loaded in the Summer needs to make a Fuel Stop at MAN so what would happen at LBA get up in the air then land again at MAN for fuel hardly pratcial over such a short distance is it? Is there the Demand for the routes in the LBA Catchment Area? Have the routes been tryed from LBA before in the Past and failed or not? Bit More research Next time Tommy would be usefull!

Jet2.coms two ETOPs 757’s could do the New York Route even if one of them is Cursed in my eyes!

Most of these routes are avaiable at a little know airport called MAN just over the M62 from Leeds!

Oh i wasn’t aware of that! When it comes to Jet2s aircraft ownership im going of info thats a few months old to be honest so i could be wrong!

But my 767 info is about a week old but as with this industry nothing is certain in my opinion until i see it parked on the Ramp! Be Nice to have a Jet2 767 use NCL this summer they have greatly increased there Summer Program with us. Which is awesome means more shifts for me and jobs for the airport and company.

Jet2 have secured one 767 thus far from what i hear!

From what i hear its going to operate across the whole Network on W patterns this summer on the currant routes and be used for Ad Hoc Charter work, I personally think there going to try and get the Falklands Contract off the MOD! Jet2 recently sent a 757 on a charter to Miami so it shows there willing to Expand there Ad Hoc Charter operations!

Im not sure where there getting there first one from but i do know that its on the way. I did hear something about an Ex Varig Machine.

Tommy GSM’s 767s were leased, GSM never owned them as far as im aware! There all in Miami now any way, most likely away on Lease to another Airline! Jet2 Own all there aircraft outright!

Seeing as this thread is on about 757s mainly, I thought I would ask this in here rather than start off a brand new thread…

Can anyone tell me what BA are doing with their fleet of 757s…I was on a bus going past their hangers near Hatton Cross and there are 3 or 4 of them lined up?

I know they are phasing them out, but what are they replacing them with (A319/20s I assume?!) and where are the 757s going?

According to Jethros there all off to FedEx! I would have thought Airlines such as Jet2 would have snapped a few up! Seen as there latest 757 has been sitting in the sand at Victorville for two years before they got it.

I assume there replacing them with A319/20’s as BA have 7 on order at the moment with Options for a further 16.

TOM have got no aircraft due for delivery until November this year apparently So i assume G-FDZT will come then!

Not sure about repainting i know they have got a few of the 757’s done! I suspect the ones on lease in Canada will get a full repaint when they come back.
