I can make an (outdoor) home available for her…
How much do they want for it?
I’m researching the history of this aircraft. Any idea where I could find details of it’s accident aboard HMS Theseus:
804 Squadron Culdrose 1/7/52. Crashed on deck of Theseus 18/9/52. Cat 4 repair at Donibristle 19/9/52.
What’s the definition of Cat 4 in Naval terms?
Obviously I can’t confirm the provenance but this VSI came from your Lincoln apparently!
Hers was an exceptional story too. Can’t find her autobigraphy (Miracles do happen) but I’d imagine its well worth a read.
Earlybay
I’d be very keen to be involved in a website/book. I have a fairly extensive portfolio of pictures past and present. Let me know what you need.
She is very much alive and well in the care of the Memphis squadron of the Commemorative Air Force…the nicest bunch of guys you could meet, with a real passion for aviation. I had the great privelege of flying in her 3 weeks ago. Her seized Centauras is at the back of the hangar where she resides at General De Witt Spain airport.
A few pics of the remains of Lincoln GAPRJ in Melbourne. A long-term project, but in a better climate than the UK.
Made it to Moorrabbin today and saw the Lincoln. Clearly, there’s much work to do on a very long-term restoration but she’s in a far better climate than in the UK.
Great collection; the Beaufighter’s a gem.
I’m pleased to report that Sea Fury, WJ288 is alive and well 🙂
How do I know this? Because I flew in her (and, later, in formation with her in a Mustang and a T33) yesterday!! I have died and gone to aeroplane heaven.

Will it be at legends? (Gets coat, orders taxi…)

Thanks for the positive feedback, it’s much appreciated.
What do I need to do to take things to that next level? There are other RIAT threads on here (SEMAE and 92fis, to name but two) whose photos are truly awesome, with absolutely breathtaking sharpness and clarity. Is it just bigger, better lenses and knowing your ISO from your aperture?
Is she coming back to Brize this evening?
The pub with no name…
Drank my way through the entire guest ales board one evening and have absolutely no idea how I got back to Petersfield.
