I have the pleasure of visiting XFW now and again… and while it certainly is nothing like as busy as HAJ it is worth a visit if you have a few hours spare… you should certainly see some aircraft doing test flights/engine runs/brake tests..as well as Beluga and other visitors… There is a fantastic spotters gantry at the delivery centre… the below is a thread i posted from last february: http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=107227

Saw an odd sight at Heathrow yesterday… a guy with what looked like a TV camera on a tripod in the field at Myrtle Ave.. the camera pointing to above the end house at Myrtle…perfectly angled for filming something landing 27L…. except it was on 09 yesterday and departing aircraft on 09R were in the fog before clearing the perimeter fence!!!:eek::eek::confused::confused:
Yup, definitely 27L on thursday morning… i MUCH prefer 09’s, think the hill at the T5 approach road is by a mile heathrows top shooting spot for landers.
i would say it is probably good for EDI yes if a right buyer is found.
it does make sense to sell EDI i suppose…. sell a mercedes for more than a lada!!
any hope of BAA suddenly now showing an interest in GLA after the years of disregard is naive…BAA well ferrovial seem uninterested in any of their airports north of the M25!

Done SIN a few years ago shooting from the beach on finals…but only had to be happy with behind the windows! still… better than nowt
