Unfortunately, the PC brigade seems to have that as a mission…
A group that only exists in the imagination cannot actually have a mission.
I’m with you on that ‘haters’ thing, though. It sets my teeth on edge every time.

So you’re in favour of the death penalty for speeding then, Bob?
This should be good.
Has anyone got any popcorn? 😀

This has nothing to do with PC, and everything to do with placing far too much weight on the feelings of a single individual.
No-one has a right to never be offended.

One of my friends that works with me is from Uganda, great chap, great musician too, sked why we can’t use the term ‘Black Board’. I explained you know what and how using the words ‘Black Board’ are, or could be offensive to people such as himself…
So far as I’m aware the banning of the term ‘blackboard’ is an urban myth, just like the one about Birmingham City Council replacing the word ‘Christmas’ with ‘Winterval’.
Unless, of course, someone can demonstrate otherwise.

Some people clearly have too much time on their hands.

I’m not a huge advocate of pornography, but believe people should be free to see what they want online (so long as reasonable steps are taken to keep it away from minors)
Then again, letting minors use the Internet unsupervised is inherently risky.
Absolutely right.
It is the responsibility of parents to keep an eye on what their own kids are up to on the Internet.
Not 100% possible in this day and age of mobile broadband, admittedly, but that’s no excuse for not making the effort in the home.
Why should the rest of the adult population be restricted for the sake of those parents who do a half-assed job or will put up with anything for a quiet life?
