I’d leave running the forum to the moderators, Jay. They know what they’re doing.

And that’s the last off-topic posting from me in this thread.

Sorry, Oliver and Three Spool 😮

Mind you, it also made me swear ‘cos there were so many little furry friends that I wanted to take home!

You could have taken them all home if you’d had them made into a nice warm coat. Maybe with a matching hat to complete the ensemble.

It would have come in handy when Jim’s October snow arrives.

Am I hearing that pressures of work are making good engineers cut corners so they don’t have time to leave a trace of verifiability. Oh ho.y sh.t!

That’s a very serious accusation, Jay.

I hope you have something to back it up, other than your own imagination.

AF buys Boeing only when they can’t buy Airbus.

If you can’t provide actual evidence to back up your assertion, then it remains just the opinion of Some Bloke On The Internet.

Do you have any evidence – bearing in mind that yet more of your unsupported opinions would not constitute evidence?

Because I have already provided the evidence – readily verifiable evidence – that Air France is a long-standing and committed Boeing customer, having bought from new examples of the B707, B727, B737, B747, B767 and B777 – in some cases in quite large quantities in European terms, (eg 99 B747s of all marks).

Air France (which, let us not forget, allegedly buys Boeing only when it can’t buy Airbus) has, to date, procured only 16 A330s and 30 A340s that work alongside 62 B777s

    The facts speak for themselves.

Your refusal to accept the facts does not invalidate or weaken them so far as the real world is concerned.

Show us your evidence, if you please.

    You’ve seen mine.

Or 6) leave other members to post their threads in whichever way they want to, in just the same way as you are left to do the same.

    Just a thought…… 😎

No-one is forced to click on this or any other, thread and I’m quite sure the moderators will step in if they feel that the forum is being misused.

JAL never bought A.300’s…they inhertited them in a take over so J31/32 is techincally correct.

This is, of course, absolutely correct.

The A300-600Rs were acquired when JAL merged with Japan Air System (JAS) in 2001.

Which was a shame, because some of the JAS special liveries had to be seen to be believed!

Yep, you wriggled out of his questions.

His “questions” were no more than an attempt to divert attention from the way in which I presented facts that pulled the rug out from snide implications made against – surprise, surprise! – a European company.

If he’s that worried, he can look the answers up for himself. Or you can, if it’s keeping you awake nights.

Because I have better things to do with my time than playing silly word games with one-eyed Internet Patriots.

    That is all.

JAL has never bought European? What about all those A300s I saw in Tokyo that they are now selling off for freighter conversion?

    Shhhh!

    Don’t shatter Mr B’s illusions.

He might ask you questions! 😮

How many of those are still in service?
How many of those were purchased because they were the only aircraft in their class at the time of purchase?
To make this very simple….since the advent of Airbus, how often did they purchase a Boeing product over a competing Airbus product?
    Let’s talk when they buy 737s over A320s. 🙂

    Wriggle, wriggle wriggle.

I’ll have less of the ‘queen’ bit and I don’t mean Her Majesty either;)

Fine. Give us less of the drama, then.

Looking at it by any objective standard, the 787 is a very big deal…

Indeed it is. From Boeing’s point of view, it’s make or break time.

And please note that Air France is set to buy some. That’s a surprise.

Yes, because apart from 29 B727s, 69 B737s, 99 B747s, 9 B767s and 62 B777s Air France have never been much of a Boeing customer, have they?

If the general consensus of the moderators and members is as you state and is that I stop posting I shall.

Please ask the mods to PM me directly on this subject.

Stop being a drama queen, Jay!

Do you think the moderators have nothing better to do?

BM55 is correct in that Sir Stelios was extremely miffed about the Airbus deal.

If he wanted to continue to call the shots himself, he shouldn’t have floated the company on the Stock Exchange.

Even Sir Stelios can’t have his cake and eat it. 🙂

You would of thought that he would have Just withdrawn the Right to use the EasyJet Brand as he has already threatened to do before

    See above. 😉

Tis only PR speak. The same thing was said for the A380.

    ‘Tis true.

You must be an ad-man’s dream, Jay! 😉
