….then I don’t see why the members of a police force can’t have weapons to help them enforce the law….or am I misunderstanding you?

The Police Federation (the UK police union) and the Association of Chief Police Officers (the “union” for police chiefs and their deputies) are both firmly against the routine arming of police officers in mainland UK.

This often comes as quite a surprise to foreign firearm fetishists. 😉

I have been informed by a reliable source this morning that this flight will not operate.

Further, it seems that no-one at Monarch or Thomson’s Manchester operations knows anything about a flight plan, slot booking or stand request.

    We shall see……

Then take it to the Webmaster, Scott.

You’ve been a member here for long enough to know how it works by now.

I don’t drive, thanks, but if you really want to cut the grass in the back garden then I won’t stand in your way. 🙂

A one month ban is the standard reward for extracting the urine from the forum rules and/or the moderators.

You’ve actually infringed item 3 of the site owners’ code of conduct (check it out for yourself) by posting this thread, so I doubt it’ll still be here in the morning.

A 2 point disruptive behaviour infraction earns a ban of a month, not a year.

I should know, I dished out enough of them. 😉

Infractions are cumulative and stay ‘active’ for a year, hence the expiry date.

You…. er, I mean Nashio… will be able to post again in a month’s time.

….they’ve earned some respect simply because they’re built the society we have today.

These are more or less the lines I was thinking along when I spoke of “earning respect” earlier today.

Anyone who makes, or has made, a positive contribution to their community or to society at large has by definition done enough to earn our respect.
