Now there’s a real illustration of the difference in culture between the US and the UK.
Much as we love and admire our servicemen and women – and we do – a British audience would scratch their heads in bemusement at an equivalent TV ad on British TV.
And then start demanding the heads of the idiots who thought that was a fit and proper way to advertise a beer company.
Not right or wrong……… just different.
The bus service is let’s say………. ‘non-existent’ on weekdays. 😀
You have to get the 19 to the Cargo Centre and then walk to the AVP. Stout shoes, lads! 😉
And what were pre-raphaelites called after they were raphaelites ?
Pre-post-raphaelites, as any fule kno. 🙂

“Ill-informed xenophobes…”…GA, you’re name calling again!
Ah, but only ill-informed xenophobes would take offence surely? And they deserve it. 😀
Nice to see someone standing up for them, all the same. :diablo:
I find it quite ironic that some of our more right-wing colleagues (I do hope that hasn’t offended Mr Boyle’s newly-delicate sensibilities  ) are suddenly treating The BBC – that arch-pinko organ of liberal tree huggers, Saddam-lovers and dolphin botherers everywhere – as a serious and authoritative source of news and comment.
No, in fact I find it riotously amusing. :D:D:D
Edited to add: And a very good morning to you, Crazymainer. 😀

I’m sure by the end of the week Boeing will have won its share of orders due to what the customer will term as ‘slightly more advantageous commercial terms’.
Hey, let’s hope so!
In this day and age, full order books for the likes of Boeing and Airbus create business and wealth all around the world.
It’s also a sign of returning confidence and expansion within the global airline industry and that just has to be good news for all of us here assembled. 🙂
Errrrrmmmm….. in Lagos, Whiskey Delta. 😀
so perhaps MAN will see the A318 acting as a feeder.
Iberia don’t serve MAN at all these days, Shamrock.
Bet you flog ’em on E-Bay….. :diablo:

Just the ill-informed xenophobes. 😀
