If one were feeling especially cynical – which, praise be, I am not – one could remark that the regulator of a country whose major aircraft manufacturer will probably mainly be building twin-engined airliners in the future seems to be trying to make life a wee bit more difficult for operators of the four-engined airliners that will be built by that company’s rival.
