    Nope – sorry.

They both look quite sharp to me.

You shouldn’t be so hard on yourself. 😉

Did the USA win the Vietnam War????

Anyway – there was the Spanish-American War of 1898. The USA won that one one their own.

They’re a bit cleaner these days, but reflections on the glass and the position of the sun can still pose problems.

These were taken through the same windows fairly recently:

Surely this has more to do with the engines than with the airframe?

Also, chaps, the A330 is not a replacement for the B767.

It is indeed a competitor and/or a successor, but only Boeing can produce a replacement for another Boeing type.

The on thing I know is the A340 has bad takeoff performance or at least the 200/300

The -200 model is rather underpowered and hasn’t exactly set the world on fire, but the -300 model seems to be selling very well and doesn’t seem to have the same problem.

The airline has an Irish AOC, so I agree with HP81 and Shamrock321.

The A330 isn’t a replacement for the B767 at all – the business doesn’t work that way and some airlines use both types.

Hmm… I see what you mean, but I think it’s just the way they’re painted.

The distance between the small “fin” on the inboard side of the cowling and the leading edge of the intake seems to be the same on both the inboard and the outboard engines.

These are not rare aircraft, dc10fan. What made you think that they were?

Oddly enough, the security guard on duty at the back gate the day I took this was unusually friendly – he let us inside the security gate to get a decent angle on the Trigon YS-11 without the fence in the way.

I think he was bored and glad of the company, to be honest.

    Try it nowadays….. 🙁
