Well I suppose I shouldnt be so cryptic about all of this. Specifically I am looking for shot of 603 Squadron that might show aircraft Coded XT-W.

I would really love to find a photo of her.

I believe I have found her lurking in the background of a Hornchurch photo but I am trying to find a better one.

    Thanks Andy,

Looking for full fuselage shots but that is a fantastic photo. One of the best I have ever seen.

Has it been retouched at all?

Health and safety (not what the thread is about) does affect daily lives – otherwise there wouldn’t be any point in it. I’ve seen the result of one too many accidents to ever think that H&S regulations are a bad thing.

I dont think anyone is arguing this point at all to be honest.

But H&S will never be a substitute for good old common sense. Something that a lot of people do not have so no amount of H&S training courses can ever give them that. Its just a company covering their own back and saying “Well we told him not to do it that way” when their guy is splatted under a pallet of stuff.

I do agree that H&S is an entirely different thing from PC. Dont think many issues arising from H&S issues and PC issue will ever cross paths. I cant think of any examples that would to be honest.

[QUOTE=Arthur Pewtey;1760375]I suspect rumours about stopping putting up Christmas lights are just that – rumours with little substance in fact. Nobody as far as I’m aware has been punished for putting up flags either.QUOTE]

I seem to remember several stories that arose a while back about English flags being removed by police (correct me if I am wrong) because of racial issues. And the christmas lights as you pointed out could have been a newspaper plot to stir up trouble but I suspect it was a food for thought article about what could happen if PC goes too far.

I’ve always either joined in the joke or shrugged my shoulders and ignored it. “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.”

    Well done that man.

Just like myself over the years.

Apart from last year while at a music festival. My then girlfriend now fiancee has cerebral palsy and as a result her hips are a bit off and she walks a bit wonky and has problems with her balance. Well we were walking along making from the main stage to our camp area minding our own business when behind me I can hear these 3 people ( I know there were three because I have good eyesight and saw them out of the corner of my eye while looking over my shoulder at something else) talking about the way she was walking and oh look how the walk together (meaning that we were both walking in rythm with each other, If anyone has tried walking with someone on you arm with a disability you do find if you get a rythm with the person you are walking with it makes it easier on both.) and so it went on and they would not let up they just kept laughing and sniggering about us etc etc. None of it really bothered me personally and my partner didnt even hear or know they were talking about us but it was just ignorance. Well I had enough and decided that 3 on 1 was good odds and that they needed a lesson in manners. I turned round and told them if they were going to talk about someone that they should at least do it so that the people who they were talking about could not actually hear them. If they indeed felt the need to talk about other people at all. That is the polite forum friendly version, I was not so polite to their faces. Oh and after that I told them that they were just a bunch of ignorant B’stards.

This had the desired effect as they shut their mouths and actually couldnt walk far enough out of their road to avoid us. In fact it is the widest bearth I have ever seen anyone give me in my whole life. I was so proud of myself. Of course My girlfriend asked me what all that was about and I said not just now tell you later in the tent. Which I did. It didnt hurt her because she is the sticks and stones type of person too she has had it her whole life. I could tell you stories that would bring tears to your eyes with the way she has been treated in her life by people who should know better.

Anyhow I love her with all my heart and all my life and she is one of the kindest most loving person that I have ever ever met in my life. Anyone of you who is lucky enough to meet her will see it too. Not a bad bone in her body and I will never understand why people treat her the way they do.

if anything i feel pc breeds more racial hatred than existed without it

Agreed. That is one thing that most of us will agree upon. It highlights an issues but does not solve it and it becomes an eyesore.
