    Yep the Red Lion at Whittlesford is not bad.. we usually go over there after a day at Duxford. The pubs are a little small in Duxford unless it is warm out.

    AAIB got it wrong then… I thought it was a Buchon. Then I am frequently incorrect.

    I hear the He111 has quite a view when you get inside. Floor could have done with cleaning though.

    Well i will be around so any plans for the pub is a great big yes from me. I am off on holidays tomorrow and not back till May 4th so if you don’t hear from me that is why. I will be there. Let me know pub plans though.

    The AAIB say it is a 109G, with a Merlin engine. Are they wrong or ? Daz?

    Sorry to go back a few steps but HLF. I agree! Alot of money spent on an over done structure with the exeption on Newark. They of course went for a lot lower bid from the HLF and have built something to do a job. Why could Duxford not have done that with the Amercian air raid shelter or Hendon with the over done Nissen hut. It annoys me that these large museums can be so stupid with money in some areas and so petty in others. If you want to know how bad try working on a restoration at Duxford. The blokes that work on the shop floor there deserve nothing but praise. Rant over I am off on holiday!

    Thanks Steve, I find it amazing we have so many people in so many places that we can get pictures and news so quickly. Thank you for taking the time to take these pictures and to post them, that we have seen air to air (probably the only air to air so far) of this great plane makes me feel hounoured to be part of this forum.

    Fair enough, sorry to ask these questions but some people will shoot you down in flames here without evidence that she is better where you want to move her to as opposed to where she is. Sound slike you have done your homework but what can we do as a forum?
