Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
Of legends
We have of course, the Liberator that was found on the moon by the daily star (lack of capitals appropriate in this case).
Any chance of recovering it yet.

Great post, and while we are on it, can anybody help me find out who the youngest Royal Canadian Air Force crew member was killed during the war. Has been mentioned that Leslie W McKenna a gunner on board Halifaxes was only 18 at the time of his death.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Merlin,
Drem here.
What bugs me about the plate is the A-2 bit on it.
We know this aircraft was an a-4 which was then converted to an a-14 but does the A-2 bit suggest that bits and pieces were taken from other marks of JU88, the mystery deepens:confused:

Definately BoB Mitchell.
East Fortune
Rained for the last hour or so but still a good day.
Glad to see the Lanc made it but sadly not the Spitfire or Hurricane.
Euro fighter was immense and I always think it puts on a better show when its raining.
Good to see them have a Ticket policy that worked this time instead of having to wait ages in a queue.
All in all, a good day out.
Catalina
She was at East Fortune on Saturday.

Hi all, Had problems posting some photos. Story regarding the memorial is as follows:-
Royal New Zealand Air Force pilot Carlisle Everiss’s Spitfire was seen in difficulty over the small village of Cowie (near Stirling). Rather than have his aircraft crash into a row of miners cottages Carlisle somehow managed to lift his Spifire up and moments later went into a tailspin and crashed into railway sidings at Cowie Colliery. The memorial was unveiled on Saturday 19 May 2007.
