I think its the one thats been based at Edinburgh for a few years, dunno where it goes each night mind you.
Nice phots by the way, the Rapide is superb
Cheers everyone for the kind comments, I periodically go through my slide and negative box and scan stuff, sometimes its stuff I’ve scanned before but the real work is editing the pics, my negs are in a right state belive me, slides arent too bad just a bit dust normally, will upload more soon, once again “thanks”
Sadly what my photos don’t show is the total lack of movements there was each day, sometimes 2 hours+ between anything happening, no Internet in them days for info
When we started on the Ramp Tour we didnt even know it had arrived, up close it looked big, not as big as maybe i thought it would be, when it took off I thought it looked quite small, I videod the take-off, it was very quiet though and considering it was going to JFK it rotated well before the EK A330 that took off before it.
Great selection of old shots there ! What were the Interflugs doing at EDI ? Was it charters for the DDR fishermen like the ones that used to come into Glasgow … or some other reason ?
Dunno cos I had just got home on leave from the RAF so it was a surprise 😉
1st 2 pics were taken at the EOS check-in desk in Terminal 4, next few taken at Terminal 4 departures, huge window with a view across the ramp, last few taken from the a/c, no hassle at all taking pics in the departure lounge.
Here’s some pics of Gulf air 737’s I’ve taken, I flew on one once, Dhahran-Bahrain, didn’t take long:)
