Some lovely shots Robert, love the AFR Jungle jet! and the guy washing the Puma remnids me of my youth when I first joined the Navy, washing Seakings….must admit I still do it with the lads once in a while!!
All the best
Si
I know what you mean Si, my experience was washing Phantom’s in the RAF, the aircraft never looked any better afterwards mind you!!
Great pics Robert.
If you had been been up the day before you would have got a funnel cloud forming over Tyrebagger Hill to the W of the airport!
Yeah I heard about the clouds, couldnt resist a quick stopp-off at ABZ on the way to and from Inverurie, was dead lucky to catch the Air France, it was leaving as I arrived.
Aye we got the 4 “blades” arrive last night, also the Red Arrows, there’s a show at East Fortune today and also Dumfries Air Museum.
Todays flight was from Stockholm, I think they might also do Copenhagen.
I used the viewing area in Terminal 2, its 2euros admission, viewing is behind glass, so watch out for reflections, photographs will need editing with Photoshop to gett rid of a slight colour cast.
The viewing area I used is good for the Lufthansa stuff and a few other airliones, the more intresting stuff used Terminal 1. our flight got delayed and the gate had a good view of the apron at Terminal 1 although it wasnt too busy.
there’s a “spotting hill” not far from the airport, the Munich airport website gives details, the airport is well worth a visit.
Nice selection Robert can i ask is Norwegian a new airline or a fill in and what days do they operate at Edi
Regards
Peter

thanks Peter, I was going to come through GLA for longer today but the weather put paid to it, EDI is normally quite good on a Wednesday morning anyway, the charters were the cream on the cake.
cheers
Robert

Yeah, the Kingfisher was a good one, wasnt parked in the most photogenic of locations though.
Apparently the Kingfisher was at GLA the night before and then hopped over to Edinburgh, rumour has it Kingfisher are taking over a whisky company. the A319 is night-stopping by all accounts.
Robert
Excellent selection Peter, thanks for posting
Ta for that, dumfries is a nice little museum, well worth a visit, the Trident unfortunetly doesnt have wings though!!
