Obviously parked at the wee car park near the bridge (sorry dont know road name), walked along about 100 yards and was stood at the bridge, the brick bridge as opposed to the big metal one close by, dunno if that makes sense!!
using my trusty 99 quid Canon EF 70-300mm SD(steam driven) 😀
Oh no, not this time of year again  . Ah well at least I will be out the country when its on. 😉
BTW it might have been for Hearts qualifiers for the champions league?
Well the Festival is one of the biggest if not THE biggest cultural events in the world, I’ve got some tickets booked already for some Fringe shows, and the good thing is there are normally some good aviation movements, from memory a long time ago, we got a Japan Airlines DC-8, Interflug IL62, Pan Am 727,707 bringing in orchestras, defenitely not for the Jambos, they used an Eirjet A320

Good set of shots Si, hope you dont mind but I copied the pics and did a quick edit on Photoshop CS2, here’s the results, also, could you e-mail me, I can be contacted by going to http://www.egphphotos.co.uk and theres a link, cheers for now
Robert
Croped this pic so it was a wee bit tighter, also, adjusted the colour a wee to make the fuselage more whiter, used shadow/highlight tool very finely, then finally used USM to sharpen.
Again cropped to make it “tighter”, colour is ok so again just used shadow/highlight to lighten up the underneath, nothing too drastic, finally used USM to again sharpen
Aye there’s normally a Dornier about, even I’ve photographed them to death at Dundee though 😉
Nice Stuff, Robert……How do you manage to be at places when they get a decent movement???hehe. Nice VLM, biggest visitor to DND maybe??
VLM Fokker has operated out of Dundee for the past few years on a Saturday dinnertime, charter to/from Jersey, my son stays in Dundee and we meet up on Saturdays (at dinnertime) 🙂 coincidence, honest!!!!
Good set of pics Martin, you going to the Leuchars Air Show?
If you travel from the AVP, go through the tunnels at the 2nd tunnel you are faced with a roundabout, on the right hand side as you emerge is a set of stairs, follow the path for a quite a distance past the fire station and you’ll be at the rotation point, if you have a car, then, and this is what I did, take the left hand exit at the roundabout, then a sharp right, theres a small wooded lane that leads to the hotel, I think its ok to park your car in the lane, then proceed on foot to the vantage point.
Robert, excellent pic, and it was great speaking to you today. Flight down to Bristol was uneventful until the go around on approach which gave me some nice views of my house. Once again Robert, great meeting you today and thanks for the tips, hope to meet you again.
Si

The pic was taken at 13.20ish which means it might have been the Malaga flight!!
Unfortunetly “no”, working up North, north of Inverness, so will be a non-aviation pic taking day 🙁
I used it last week, got a leaflet at Check-in warning about no facilities, read a big sign before “H” about no facilities and only to go to to your gate when called, worked a treat, straight through the gate onto the plane 🙂 In fact that quick i couldnt see if there are photo opportunities!!
you can’t beat a bit of AMS! Looks like a good day! must get out there again later in the year.
Unfortunetly it was only 30 mins in the morning and an hour in the evening 🙁
