Showbus 2010,IWM Duxford
A wet afternoon at Duxford.Did I mention meeting two charming young men from this very forum ?
( And I know that this is the non-aviation photo thread,but I don’t see flying-boats all that often …)

The difference is that this young bloke wasn’t asking for money, never mentioned cash at all and wouldn’t take anything when I offered to buy him something to eat.
I’m as sceptical as the next old dear but everyone seems convinced that he was trying to scam me out of something and IMHO he genuinely wasn’t.

What a lovely lot you are,the funny thing is that even though Mum doesn’t know where she is from one day to the next, she remembers her time at Netheravon quite clearly – they were both W/Ops and her introduction to Dad was when he tripped over a step and literally fell for her.
Thanks for your help.
Scott,my old Dad is an aeroplane nut so any photos of aircraft would be interesting to him.
I’ll be OK as long as I can see the Sunderland.
If my raindance doesn’t work Mr. Bee’s ” treating ” me to a trip to the bus rally at Duxford tomorrow.
He’s promised me there might be around 400 buses there.I might just find out if it really is possible to die of boredom.
What a warm-hearted bunch you are.
Conned ? Out of a cup of tea he didn’t drink ? I must be more careful,I’m down a whole £1.15.
He never asked for money, which I wouldn’t have given him anyway, and my valuables are quite intact, thank you.
The pastor rang me yesterday evening to say that he hadn’t turned up at the shelter, but they know him there and he does have a tendency to bolt like a startled rabbit.Maybe he spent the night in his luxury accommodation behind the Wimpey Bar.
If I saw him I’d do the same again. Is it so hard to believe that perhaps some people are damaged and need a bit of help ?

Bumblebees are getting scarce,it’s spider time now only this one was not at home.

Brilliant, enough flying-boat clips to keep me quiet for hours.
What struck me most was the part where the McGregor brothers were talking to the two pilots.
At the ages of 87 and 90,when a lot of their contemporaries are snoring in front of the television in a care home,it was a delight to see them so full of life and modest about their achievements,as indeed were all the former pilots who were featured.
Sad to think in a few years’ time all of that wartime generation will be gone.

Are you the girl with the purple hair ?
That would be so cool.My daughter has purple hair.
