Mr.Bee remarking thoughtfully ( after nearly 39 years of marriage ) that he didn’t realise that his little short thing could get longer.
Turns out that he meant the stylus on his new mobile phone.
And my Dad,back to his old self again, sitting up in his hospital bed complaining about the old men shouting in the ward at night.
I told him to pipe down a bit tonight.

Mr.Bee this morning, looking at one of those catalogues that fall out of the paper and telling me that he was going to get himself a nice pair of slippers, the kind that have Velcro straps.
And realising that I really look forward to sitting down with a nice cup of tea to watch a repeat of Last of the Summer Wine.
It’s finally happened,we’ve turned into pensioners.

Seeing my poor old Dad even more away with the fairies than I usually am,recovering from his hip operation after a fall.
Why is it that other peoples’ pain is so much harder to bear than your own ?

It makes you wonder whether people today would have the same idea of self-sacrifice for the good of others.
A couple of years ago in New Zealand I saw a replica of the expedition’s hut.Really brought it home what those men endured, dying one by one in such awful cold,so far from their loved ones.

Here she’s saying that she’s sorry for putting her family in the situation where one of them could theoretically die trying to save her life.
Also she’s been a drug addict for twelve years, meaning she was only a child when she got hooked.
Anyone feeling the tiniest twinge of compassion for her yet ? No ? Didn’t think so.
I must say it tickles me that she wants to be buried in a classy Adidas tracksuit,as if it mattered. They can cremate me wearing an Easter Bunny outfit for all I care.
