Wow! I’ve never been on this end of the forum before.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Stephen and I live Toronto (for those of you who haven’t been on the commercial side). Love commerical aviation and would like to get my private lic in the next couple of years.

    To answer the question…

    Personal features:
comedian (though have a sh*t day job)
tall, slim, curly hair, and love beer, damn vice!
oh, yes, gay as well. Thanks Kat EAL_King and Dartie for being so honest.

Love the humour on this page, will definitely be back. Oh, btw, nothing is too over the top for me. Bring it on.

QF is really one of my favourite schemes around. It works on just about anything, looks perfect for business travel or leisure.

Sorry Nasir, usually a fan but don’t crazy about this latest mock-up. Too dated for my taste. I’d love to see you do a hybrid of AF and KL to see what you come up with. Good effort though.

Iberia would also get access to BA’s excellent North American network. Also, Madrid is what the 6th largest hub in Europe?

I would think that the MD-11 will be for the scrap heap. Aren’t KLM expecting A330’s and 777’s in the near future. Already more complimentary.

Although I like the AF livery, I’m sure that within a year some hybrid scheme will surface, once the general public has become used to the idea.

Still curious to see what LH comes up with? I predict a move on Austrian or SAS, already part of STAR, that is if they want to absorb like BA and AF. Although, with the fierce competition in the German domestic front, it might be sooner rather than later that they pursue their mainline competition.

Hey guys, haven’t been around for a while, but today’s news prompted my hitting the forum.

So where does this leave the rest of Europe? Would be interested to hear SAAB’s thoughts.

I’m assuming IB and BA will fast track talks at this point. Where does LH fit into the picture? Will they take over some smaller companies (thinking mostly of Austrian here), I heard recently that they are looking at taking over SWISS?? Will SAS eventually merge with BA or LH? What about your other small carriers from Ireland and Belgium? Can they compete with this mega-carrier?

Alright, bit hung over, will check in tomorrow.

Take the YYC-YYZ route (though it’s more than two hours isn’t it?)

    Second charter

    Last, Edmonton.

Also, didn’t Virgin and Airbus cut a sweet deal so that Virgin could still be the launch customer of the 346 post 9/11?

Why not go for fleet commonality. They have the 340-600 and the A380 (on order), i’m sure the 747’s will start to be replaced within a decade, why not go all one type?

    Fantastic photos.

One thing I noticed out at YYZ this weekend, is that the CRJ uses a lot of runway to take off. I’ve noticed this before. I thought, being lighter, it would require less than an Airbus 320.

No offence to anyone, but I find Ryanair to have one of the worst liveries around. I like the colors and all that, but it’s just very amateur looking.

The private plane that you ask about is a Canadair Challenger (I think).

Great photos. I was out at Toroto yesterday trying my friends digital for the first time. Hopefully will have pics up soon.
