Any guesses as to what he was talking about? RAM-K is obviously wrong.

Su-7 “100LDU” was a test aircraft for the pitch-only FBW system for the T-4, which led into the Su-27 FBW system.

Note the HUD looks suspiciously like the “Smart HUD” displayed at Zhuhai…

Also they’ve finally ditched the “Odd Rods” IFF system…

I doubt Mr Butowski’s drawing is very accurate.

The thing about sustained high speed flight is you need a long slender body (see Concorde for details).

The “airliner” 701 drawing looks VERY clean, very slender, which bodes very well for sustained “supercruise”.

I’ll post my design later.

-must have a ceiling of at least 60 000ft(18 200m)
-Must be able to supercruise with at least 1400km/h

Kind of rules out a mini B-2.

Here’s my entry- take this design, remove the passenger seats, and “stealth” it up a bit (planform alignment, etc), and you have a perfect fit.
