What happened with the cockpit section of the t-33 that crashed in Duxford a year ago?

anyone know why they are selling it? What’s with the second spit they have? Plates only by the looks of it.
The one which is currently being testflown is indeed owned by Tony de Bruyn who will operate it in Belgium when the testprogram is completed. But I’m not shure if he also owns the second one.
Greets,
Stieglitz
I believe he does own the second one also
I believe they are owned by Tony de Bruyn, who is a Belgian.
I have copied many old drawings over the past few years – Swift, Pobjoy etc. Take them to the likes of Prontaprint and ask that they copy at 200 dpi or better and have then saved in TIFF format. They can then be changed to PDF or any other file type you please and copied without damaged to the originals.
When you have done this I suggest leaving the originals with the RAF Museum or the RAeS Library for safe keeping.
Copyright in UK … basically 70 years. Any CD you produce will also be copyrighted to you.
Minimum 300DPI for reprint
all I hear is how rare these things are, and now no bids:eek:
And Vampire T.11 WZ505 that didn’t last long after the ‘little dears’ got their hands on it,in a school playground at Bramhall,Cheshire in 1976
Any of these two survive?
If Greece needs large tankers, might I suggest the Evergreen 747? (The DC-10 conversion is busy in California).
Didn’t Evergreen shelved that design?
Heard stories from an AB over here where German stuff (vehicles, maybe aircraft) Was buried in underground shelters. No one has opened them up because of fear for booby traps. That and they are all flooded. There was also a shooting range with scrap like engines used as bullet catchers. Story goes that was buldozered after the war and may also still be underground.
I remember seeing one in Manston.
Never thought of that. What a great idea!! Do you work for the Government? 🙁
No, I don’t 🙂 It just that it’s a gigantic airframe to move and if it’s not in the best condition… With 4 preserved and 2 live, I think it might have a better chance of survival as a cockpit section as opposed to a whole airframe. I do want to see as many aircraft as possible saved, but sadly you can’t always save them all:(
