Do you have any photos of the gauge in situ in a Gnat? I’ve found a few online, but not much of any use, and I have no Gnat books or anything like that to reference form here.

    6A/4984 is apparently a gauge, so that’s a start!

6A/1037233 is showing up a being a ‘securing clamp’, and I can’t find the other number at all. So, 4984 it probably is, then!

Just to aid anyone who might be able to help us find one of these, this is a mocked-up image of what the gauge we’re after looked like-

Did you like the Lancaster DVD from Coventry. They seem to be selling well.

Absolutely loved it mate- a real treat for the enthusiast, and the icing on the cake really following your brill series of updates at the start of the year.

I’ll be intrigued to know if you find out why the aircraft was deemed wonky by the pilots!

You want the ‘Lancaster At Peace’ book from the Linc Lanc Association- some nice pics of 474’s early days, when she used to work for a living!

Blimey the BBC are slow- the engine has been in hand in the workshop for a while now! (Though it will be a while before K7 gets to the stage of having it fitted!)

She’s coming on at a brilliant pace, and will definitely be a runner- hence me asking about the place re. gauges etc!

Bruce, by the sounds of it we might need a couple or so of each kind- 2 position, 3 position, sprung return etc. Would be very interested in hearing about anything you have, and the gauge too of course!! Thanks!

Sounds like we might need a variety- spring back, 2 position, 3 position etc.
