That’s the one, there on a bit of a European holiday by the sounds of it 🙂
Sorry about the poor image, taken during a groundrun hanging out the window 🙂
Photo looks fine, Is that a couple of tired firemen in the background having a sleep next to the skip or something more sinister?
While we await a picture, lets take a short interlude and view another recent visitor from Switzerland.
I should have posted a video on the Burma thread… perhaps I still could.
I thought this thread needed a video.
Does anyone actually know what they are filming?

🙂 Lovely video. How did you manage to keep peoples heads and tannoy speakers out of it.Do you use a steadycam type stabilser or is it all inbuilt.?
Thanks. I get to the show early and stake my claim at the front, yes I’m one of those guys you have to to get the shots. Any heads, speakers or poles I do capture I then edit out. As for stabilization, I use a shoulder mount and the only stabilization is the camcorders built in optical stabilization which has an odd consequence when it resets on long pans but I need it. My videos tend to have more of an organic camera technique.

Is there really a need for commentators at all, apart from the odd health and safety blurb and perhaps introducing the acts, I see no need for them. If you require facts and figures read the programme. It’s like going to the cinema with someone who’s seen the film and tells you everything that’s going to happen, dammed annoying. Many of the commentators just remind me of the bores you come across in pubs; every pub has one, if the rotund bearded one at Shuttleworth says “climbs like a homesick angel” one more time, I will not be responsible for my actions.
I see an air display like a piece of theatre, a display of sight and sound, it does not require someone wittering on constantly. The only commentator that I think did a good job sadly I don’t know his name was at Old Warden a few years ago, he only spoke when the aircraft was carrying out its turn in the distance before coming in for another run, and only gave a short piece of information then stopped for the aircraft to make its flypast, a perfect example of commentator, aircraft, and audience in perfect harmony…. god now I’m starting to rant like one of those pub bores.
Will we ever see the Me262 at Flying legends? If it was the only aircraft in the show it would be amazing, and i’m not even into jets that much.
