Thank you LH for sharing some of the info which has been shared with you, though the instruction to ‘you lot ‘ to keep quiet is not appreciated. Your ‘least of all anyone here’ observation airily dismisses the wealth of knowledge and experience amongst the thousands of forum members ( many pilots and aircrew) , by no means just windbags and spotters.

There is great support and concern here for the aeroplane and crew , which logically enough generates discussion on a discussion forum. It was inevitable this high profile incident would be picked up by the national press and and maybe a speedy press release would have made sure the correct information was in the public domain from the outset.

Is there anyone tasked with such a responsibility ?

Superb airmanship- These RNHF chaps certainly keep a cool head in a very challenging circumstances.

But how sad to suffer yet another blow to the vintage jet scene, its just not fair………..

We can only hope that his poor family are managing to put their lives back together and move on from a terrible time for them.

Sometimes the price to be paid for our ‘entertainment’ is too much to bear.
