It is well known that ALL warbird owners wish their aeroplanes were Spitfires, so the obvious solution is to return the Texan Buchons to RAF colours ( as in BoB film )
Admittedly, they would be Hispanos, pretending to be Messerschmitts, pretending to be Hurricanes, but it is still quite close
Holy smoke ! That is a mighty smash.
Amazing that they survived that. Best wishes for a full recovery.

Ah- so! Very cryptic tonight…..
This will have to wait for the morning, now. – . Out .
The flyer in Argentina LV-XSG was for sale not too long ago, or available to be swapped for a Chipmunk, which would put it £30-£40 K .
They’re probably gonna wait for the advice on this thread!!
In all seriousness, the distilled knowledge available on this forum ( not necessarily all on this thread today) will give some pretty accurate pointers as to probable value and general sentiment in the market.
Wow they are expecting to get a lot for it. According to G-INFO the airworthiness certificate expired in 1998. Buyers premium on top aswell.
£60-90 K ! Yes, very ambitious ( deluded ?) . Maybe £50-60 in tip-top nick, but that will need quite an overhaul.
Has been done before…

Very interesting indeed ( six Mustangs abandoned in Australian desert )
So unless I missed something that contradicts this, I don’t really understand what the story is telling us, other than that people up there seem to have very short memories!
We are not short of bandwidth ! Without a doubt many people here will read of this for the first time. If a post provokes interest and comment ( or even further news ) it will flourish, and if not, it will naturally slide to obscurity ! Post away 🙂
Interesting to see the Red Rose on the Avian.
I often go past Lancaster’s garage in Wendover, still called Red Rose Garage.
See here for summary of William Lancaster’s exploits.

Sorry, mouthful of crow.
Don’t be discouraged, Keith 😀 Welcome to the forum !
What historic happenings are going on in your neighbourhood ? trans-Atlantic reports always welcome..
Great photos. Post 1, photo 5: careful, the mag switches are on.
For solo operation, the mags would need to be left on in the rear cockpit.
On the first engine run in 1985 Nick and the team were very puzzled why the Merlin refused to fire. Rear mags ! Doh ! 😮
New Fokker ?
Looks awfully like Paul’s ‘previous ‘ Triplane, which tangled with a fence last year.
”On the later flight in G-FOKK, he made a low pass over the strip to check the ground and weather conditions. He observed that the bonfire smoke was still rising almost vertically and that trees adjacent to the runway were still. Following a standard left-hand circuit, the approach and touchdown to Runway 26 were uneventful. He closed the throttle and the tail lowered gently to the ground. Shortly afterwards, the aircraft began a turn to the left which the pilot was unable to correct with right rudder. The aircraft collided with a steel gate on the perimeter track and pitched over onto its nose and upper wing. The pilot, who was uninjured, made the aircraft safe before vacating. He later estimated that the wind had been between 5 and 10 kt from the south-west.”

Nice film, really good quality image
I have to give it the thumbs up as i am the reserve pilot (probl’y !)
Still waiting for the call….
Sorry, can’t help with your quest, but i appreciate the pics.
I have great enthusiasm for light affordable vintage-style biplanes, and this was a new one for me. Google images has some very attractive examples, especially those with radial engines.
I wonder if the LAA have approved the type.
I would not wish to see it fly the Atlantic, it is just too precious.
Did not the NZ Mosquito get transported to the USA without any particular drama?
