Potentially, as well as the naval S-300F variants. What I am going to do now is update a bunch of older stuff, and work on finishing up some other articles. Then I’ve got a nice backlog of topics for new pieces. I may actually go back and expand on the S-300P article in places as well. Oh, and I have a GREAT image for this Friday as well.
On that note, does anyone have any clue where East German S-300P batteries were located?

There is no evidence whatsoever of any BVR AAM being in service with the PAF. Even the mythical H-4 turned out to be a Denel-designed air to surface standoff weapon.
By 2012, there is a plan to operationalize and induct the two tier ABM system at key cities, which are currently guarded by the old S-125’s.
There are currently 35 active and 10 inactive S-125 sites that I’ve located inside of India. The only major cities that have one close enough to be defended by it in any fashion are Agra, Pune and Mumbai, with one each. New Dehli has one nearby but it’s too far away to defend the airspace over the capital. New Dehli does have seven old S-75 sites ringing it, but they are all unoccupied.

I thought there was something about fixed inlets that limited speed to just over Mach 2? Some sort of solution must have been developed for a low-RCS aircraft though, as the GE-powered YF-23 was supposedly capable of exceeding Mach 2 by a substantial margin. I recall reading somewhere that the test pilots had to pay close attention at altitude when the afterburner was engaged or they’d blow right through the redline speed and risk damage to the airframe if they weren’t careful.
GE F120 + F-23 = probably the most advanced and capable fighter aircraft design to come out of the US, by a decent margin.

No, but it’d be a target for an air to air ARM like the R-27P. You know, since it’s a radar and not a jammer 😀
At any rate the first prototype very clearly does not have one, with the cover for the brake chtue and the associated actuators being clearly visible. The only jets carrying actual rear-facing radars are the Su-34s.
It’s not a bad idea, especially if the accuracy of the R-77 is such that it can hit an AAM or SAM.
I’m sure the Russians are well aware of what kind of RCS reduction measures they could undertake 😛
I’m not saying that they can’t or haven’t done anything, just that in order for it to be effective they will quite obviously have to have done something to the compressor faces. Making small adjustments to the forward fuselage without giving due attention to the two huge radar reflectors underneath the jet would be asinine 😀 There is of course also the issue of the radar array, which is not canted and is another good radar reflector.
If they really wanted to make a difference they’d turn to China for the HQ-9. Should be cheaper than a comparable Russian-made system. They have some experience with Chinese strategic SAMs after all, with their single HQ-2 battery near Islamabad 😀 India is of course currently no better off in the SAM regard, relying primarily on a bunch of S-125 batteries to defend military airfields.
Is the Su-27BM/Su-35 supposed to use a rear-facing radar system eventually? The first prototype doesn’t have one fitted.

RCS is not necessarily dependent on size. Were that to be true, a MiG-21 would have a smaller RCS than a B-2A! Any head-on RCS reduction measures on the Su-34 are, however, completely worthless if they did nothing to treat the intake trunks and mask the compressor faces from radar.
