Great OP to a subject area I seek clarity on also, so what’s the best approach to gaining skills to work on the Certificates of airworthiness and CAA permit to fly types of warbird aircraft? Is it to get a grounding working on older ga types cessna piper etc ? Would there be formal qualifications neccessary (i.e. relevant to vintage types) and which ones (EASA? ) for airframe and powerplant? Or is it better to get involved on the lighter PFA types

I see the old bv222 thread mentions a bv222 scuttled not far from trondheim (supposedly near monks island which happens to briefly be in shot on the blue eye robotics film.. and that halifax in a nearby fjord IIRC. plenty to explore round Trondheim with those drones!

Excellent work , but were the seats black? it just occurred to me I may have the only original surviving piece of seat material – 12 inch section ofwhat I think is highly likely of lj628 pilots seat arm rest cover which is actually a very very dark blue grey I’m not sure the material is leather either more probably rexine

Loch ness / great glen – i understand it was a wartime nav route and ive read in history books of a reference to a ditching and bail out/running out of fuel of a whitley and a hudson if i remember correct – id be surprised if the Wellington was the only aircraft in the whole of the great glen – must be others given its sheer size

is there some sonar survey data somebody can revisit?
