“you Know what to do with the lame ducks”

    “flood the cowlings”

Looks like this Hurricane, Z7015 I think has already been canabalised to keep the flyers going.

Here’s a pic of Doug Arnolds T Bolt when it passed through Duxford around 1985.

This is the former Aces High Casa 352, G BFHG, didn’t it wear that scheme for Piece of Cake.

The aircraft is now owned by Kermit Weeks, but I’m not sure where he keeps it.

Just wondering if this is in fact taken at Bovingdon during the filming of Mosquito Squadron as there are 3 Mossies, and more tellingly you can see the nose of a MR3 Shackleton on the left, which I know was used to film to opening low level aerial sequences of Mosquito Squadron………

I think you are right Firebird, I originally thought this was an earlier 633 sqd photo, due to the fact that I had believed that the shack should have been in RAE markings.

Then I remembered the Mosi’s were coded at Biggin Hill in 63.

    Re: Love Triangle!

DBW is a beautiful film and i love that sound track, ashame it was never released on CD 🙁 [/B][/QUOTE]

It was released on CD but not as far as I know in the UK.

The CD was released by a company called Bonton who are part of the Sony group cat No 503156 2.

Thought you might like to see this rare colour slide of the 633 squadron mosquito’s. I think it was taken at Biggin hill shortly after the completion of 633 filming.

If I’m right Jeff Hawke was one of the pilots.

The Kenley Hotel, Godstone Rd Kenley, both frequented by Kenley air crew.

The Jackdaw at Denton near Canterbury, used by Susanah York and Christopher Plummer.

Pathfinders was first broadcast in the early 70’s. It starred Robert Urquhart and Jack Watling. The entire series was rereleased on video by DD in 1999. Despite having Hamish Mahaddie as technical adviser the series was pretty poor.

My photo of the year depicts the Tummelisa @ Biggin. The pilot was just superb although he may have been a little bit crazy!

There was talk some years ago about having a hotel facility at the airfield, but nothing more was ever said about the plan.
