Bruce,
That’s a great shot of the historic flight, where did you take it from.
Septic.
Only just gone!
The UK population of Corsair’s has sadly dwindled over the last few years. Will we see the OFMC corsair return to these shores.
Seen here in its previous guise as ‘Big Hog’
..Well that’s it really, just not quite like it used to be. But in the interests of safety etc…
For ‘Moose’/ Candyman fans.

This was taken at Disney’s MGM theme park in Orlando where they have complete show dedicated to Indiana Jones.
Ross,
Unfortunately the Le Bourget B17 F-BGSO is not on public display, it is held in storage on the other side of the airfield @ Dugny. Although there is an excellent open weekend during September.
Pink Lady is currently undergoing some main spar examination. There was a thread about this a few weeks back.
At 11.30 today at Marholm in Cambridgeshire friends and family paid their last respects to Robert Rudhall.
If you do find a quiet moment today, reflect on the fact that Aircraft Presevation in the UK has lost one its greatest supporters.
There was a video made, titled the real stars of Mephis Belle, but to be honest is was not very good.
B17 complete with blooded plexi glass. I think this was the Tallichet aircraft!
P 51’s at Duxford.
A further photo. The aircraft was at one stage owned by Charles Church, I can not remember if there were any plans to fully restore the aircraft.
This is the former Strathallan Battle that passed through Duxford in the late 80’s (I think). It is now on display in Brussels.
I also have a shot somewhere of the Canadian Target Tug Battle.
Robert Ruhall 1951-2003
I first met Robert almost 20 years ago now, through a mutual interest in the Battle of Britain film.
Many people would not have known that Robert had been young volunteer at the pioneering Skyfame Collection, his enthusiasm for the aircraft preservation movement never waned in over 35 years of direct involvement despite attending hundreds of airshows. He is also one of the very few people to have flown in both of the worlds airworthy Lancasters, his all time favourite aircraft.
His love of the movies stems from his days as a projectionist/ sound & Lighting technician at the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury. It was here Robert met another of his hero’s the great Eric Morecombe.
I feel devasted as I write these last few words;
There are very few people like Robert Rudhall in this world, I have had the great priveledge to have been his friend.
Another Perfect Hero pic taken at DX. The late Mark Hanna looks on.
Re: Mark V
Is POC available on DVD yet?
POC is availiable as a DVD but only as a region 1 US version, try ebay, the book does turn up at airshows, if not the Aviation Bookshop in near Alexandra Palace should have a copy.
Here’s a shot from Perfect Hero.
