Good for you!:) Some people are over-sensitive and over-react. I’ve been called many things over the years – some in fun, some not. I’ve always either joined in the joke or shrugged my shoulders and ignored it. “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.”

Respect is not something to be learnt on fatuous and time-wasting courses. If people have not acquired it through parental upbringing and school guidance by the time they are in their teens it is too late.

Duxfordhawk – I think PC although it was/is well intended has become more of a stick to hit people with rather than something sensible, Which is so sad.

We are now at stage where everyone is too worried to upset anybody, Even to the point that putting up Christmas lights or showing the Union Flag or English flag is taken as non PC.

Hope you see her SH! I saw my first take-off since she left the RAF a couple of weeks ago at Brunty. Hopefully I’ll see her at Waddo and Sunderland too this year! 🙂

Linc – don’t confuse “PC” with ‘elf’n’ Safety. That started out as a set of simple rules for our own as well as others’ protection, but they have become overused and abused, largely courtesy of the courts.
