BB – Picasa web albums is a good way to share pictures without the “social” pressures!:)
Threespool – in theory, yes. We subscribed, as a business, because we thought it might be a good way to spread ourselves and find new people who might have an interest in what we do.
After 3 months we packed it in. 90% of the time we were wasting time reading and searching and unless you keep in touch you spend further hours catching up on what you missed such is the volume of twitters posted. We only ended up with 300 or 400 followers and that turned out to be about 300 or 400 too many. Added to which if you don’t post for a couple of nanoseconds your followers post asking what you are doing.
A horrendous experience!:(

I disagree about Twitter. Twitter is even better than RSS feeds!
Surely all it does is to drive an insatiable desire for more and more unimportant and irrelevant prattle and, aptly named, twitter or twatter, to quote Kev.
Can we not live our lives with a few hours of no information about anything unless we choose to find it ourselves?
