Thanks for the pictures – I really hope to get up there this Summer – they are doing a marvellous job.:)
I’m with you on that. No doubt mistakes were made and legitimate criticisms can be levelled at the management of the project, but the fact remains that many of us helped her back into the air and that can never be taken back. I only wish I had seen her rebirth, but for weather on twom occasions and tech on another. Still, I did enjoy the Vulcan in her heyday.
Lovely, lovely, Hunters – THANK YOU!:D
Thsre is a good article in Aeroplane this month -a reprint of their visit to Mosquito production in 1943. Lots of good mono pictures as well.
SkyHigh, You just dont know one week it’s one thing, and another the next, then some bright spark states it makes no difference at all.
I knew a Police Officer from Hong Kong, a very good friend, he never smoked, and never drank alcohol in his life.
When he died unexpectedlly, I went to the P.M. as Coroners Officer, the Post Mortem result was that he died of Lung Cancer, and sclerosis of the liver, now work that one out.Jim.
Lincoln .7
Chance has a part to play in death as much as physiological failure for one reason or another. There is no doubting the link between death from heart attack and/or cancer and smoking. But lung cancer and sclerosis of the liver are caused by other factors as well. So not really anything to work out, I would say.

There is something really eerie about these pictures. Extraordinary. Made by man and slowly returning to nature.
Add to that list laziness…..so many drivers these days are just too lazy to drive well!
Yes, indeed – in life as well as behind the wheel.:(
