Film certification has been criticised for as long as I can remember. People will always disagree with the decisions made, as they are bound to be made subjectively. Years ago I knew a member of the board and he always said it was a minefield.

The Book of Liff by Douglas Adams ( Hitchiker’s Guide) and John Lloyd (Blackadder) is a wonderful anthology of the weirdest place names with suitably amusing definitions.

Refreshing to hear Nashio expressing those views. I believe the UK has the highest percentage of unmarried couples and single parents and the highest divorce rate in the West. I am a firm believer in the conventional “nuclear” family and nothing has yet persuaded me from that view. I think a major contributory factor to the disrupted society in which we live is the devaluing of traditional family life and the lack of responsibility in becoming and being parents.

Haven’t been for a while, but on the plus side – beautiful scenery, well ordered, clean, good wine, good food, efficient public transport. On the minus side – cost. Currently only about 1.50 SFR to the £ and when I was there is was closer to 2.00, so I reckon it will seem much dearer now.

Because, and that was the general point I was tring to make, in a growing economy business is expanding, and more jobs become available and the employee can pick and choose.

As to your earlier point I think you have rather made my argument for me. If the employee cannot or will not resign then his case is weak. And the employer is in the stronger position.

And in terms of the greater argument the CEO’s bonus does not seen relevant.
