I know it’s not an aircraft project but I think the marvellous restoration of Stow Maries to its WW1 status deserves mention. It has already received some “old’uns” and no doubt when it is finished there will be a WW1 fly-in to celebrate!!

Surely the bottom line is that whether it is the father or the son the family has run a corrupt, police state for 40 years. The people have been subjugated and have seen little if any of the immense wealth the country’s oil has produced and Gaddafi and his cohorts have squirrelled billions of it away all over the world.

Libya is, after Yemen, the poorest of the Arab states, many of which have no oil wealth. It is to be hoped that he will be defeated and face trial by his own people in his own country. Then honour is satisfied, which it will not be by a show trial in The Hague lasting years and costing millions.

Nope – he just isn’t Bond for me or as Fleming wrote him…..I would guess that some form of cyberwarfare is more realistically likely and will probably be a reality within our lifetime……:(
