And that’s the problem, Linc. We all get over-emotional and reach the fuse blowing stage which doesn’t help rational decision making. “Love Actually” really was a fantasy, wasn’t it?…;):)

But that’s the point, surely. If we geared our defence budget to every conceivable threat world-wide we would be spending even more than we used to. There are plenty of arguments for against the decisions made but defence has to be related to perceived medium and long term threat. The judgements have to be taken rationally, not emotionally.

Sounds as if I’d better give them another try. Tried them in New York years ago and found them doughy, and unpalatable. Do the major retailers here sell “good” bagels or do you have to go to a specialist bakery?
