Well, of course, we would all like to think that is the case, but I suppose one man’s adverse personal comment is another man’s strongly expressed opinion. Either way I fear this thread is going the way of the previous one where old Cloud9 is at the crease on his own, so I’ll retire back to the pavilion and leave others on the field.

We are not pouring vitriol on anyone, but unless there is more support for the contrary view then it will inevitably appear that way. I we disagree with a another member’s point of view what are we supposed to do?

I happen to take a view on this and other similar disputes and that is my view. I am not pouring vitriol an anyone taking the contrary view – just wholeheartedly disagreeing with them.

“…..the crew are not venting their frustrations at the travelling public at all, they are venting them solely at BA management, its just unfortunately that being in the “service” industry, the travelling public are the uneccesary victims of all of this…so don’t be quite so ridiculous!”

This is such a tired argument that it beggars belief that it is still trotted out. Any withdrawal of action by employees in a service industry affects the recipients of the service provided so, of course they are not frustrated by the public – if they were they would be bigger fools than they already are – but their actions will further alienate them from public sympathy. Any worker can walk away from their job, if they don’t like it. But of course they won’t because they are unlikely to find anything better, if they find anything at all.

I can only reiterate my feelings when I posted on last year’s thread. What a bunch of twerps. No one will gain and in the long run some of these idiots will be made redundant. When they are there will be no sympathy from anyone. Talk about turkeys……………..:(

I just love these “close season” pictures. Many thanks. Sometimes I wish I was still only half-an-hour away from Duxford………..:)

…..”The other side of the coin of course is that you’re now able to interact with infinitely more people than you can in your everyday life.”… True, BB, but it is very limited form of interaction and not one which engages much more than gaming skills, does it?
And each generation grows up in a world very different from the previous one.. After all Dickensian London was only 4 generations ago. And, like you, I have no interest in games although I do fly Flight Sim at a fairly basic level, and not with other players.
