For me films with real and frightening tension like Psycho and Rosemary’s Baby are far more horrific than so-called horror films. In fact I don’t think any of the classic horror movies has ever made me “tingle”. They are not subtle enough and the “fear” moments are usually well flagged up or just funny.

More terrific pictures. I think these from all of you of the Autumn Show are some of the best I’ve seen this year. Were the conditions particularly good, from a photography point of view? I think one of the commentators alluded to it in an interview with Planes TV.

Pondskater – the demise of the RDA’s, another Prescott white elephant, could not have come soon enough. The projects were funded from local and national taxes, which also funded the extremely large wage and expenses bills of the RDAs. That’s our money!

We will return to the pre-Prescott era of one layer of government less.

A bit of a rant Resmoroh, but with a degree of justification. We do not, of course, know the answers to your questions, but I suspect they were rhetorical, anyway.

And nothing is sacred, or should be, and that includes the NHS and especially Overseas Aid. And the arguments will go on for years to come between parties with vested interests as to what was fair and what was ill-judged and what was right and what was wrong.

No one will be totally satisfied and I do not envy those having to make the decisions. Trying to reduce my own personal budget is bad enough!!
