J Boyle -“I doubt if the mishap will figure into the discussion, but the money it takes to field the team surely will.”
Indeed it will not and no doubt the relatively small sum of £8.8 million p.a. has already been discussed many months ago and many times. The question might arise when the Hawk T1 are phased out in favour of the T2, and the costs of conversion, won’t it?
As someone else has said the Red Arrows mean as much and perhaps more for those millions of “ordinary people” who turn up to see them and the BBMF at the air displays they attend.
Nashio – if you go to any “fashion” salon, for that is what T&G is, you pay fashion salon prices. Whether it’s worth paying that price just for the pleasure of being near a “properly hot young girl” and being served a glass of Chardonnay is debatable!!:diablo:
I’ll settle for £9 at my local barber and yes, Linc, there is still hair to cut before you ask!!;):D

Well certainly not the OP!:)
Whether or not the Arrows will be disbanded will be an MoD decision based on on many reasons, none of which will have anything to do with either the dreadful tragedy this weekend or the fact that some people find their routine “boring”.
A lovely weekend in Dorset catching up with old friends not seen for far too long.

I rest my case!:)
Jay – you don’t have to drink alcohol to need to urinate! Another report said that the flight was delayed on the stand after Depardieu was told he would have to wait 15 minutes. Knowing no more than the typical media reports I have some sympathy with anyone who has the misfortune to suffer from bladder problems.
Perhaps he really did behave badly – but he is guaranteed to attract negative publicity.
Ah – I had not seen the latest. Thanks!:)
Fantastic, isn’t it and I think Google maps is more up to date than Bing. I went there many, many years ago and it is astonishing to see how much it has grown.
Speaking only as a visitor not a pilot surely it is difficult on many airfields to accommodate numbers of visiting private aircraft on the display side of the airfield because that is where the flying and static aircraft are located and manoeuvre. I suppose the larger the field the easier it might be, but even so I can accept that there will be complications.
Bad luck – it would be great to see Tendulkar reach his 100th 100 this time and I say that as a dedicated England supporter!:)

Marvellous – I only wish I could be there…..:(
